I don't understand the requirement for a public IG account - my gleam only links to email and youtube. I can't see how they'd find my instagram based on my entries.

  For me, when I go to the gleam link it has under my name a panel showing all linked accounts. I'm unsure how you could complete the IG portion without it being linked. It is quite common for the public account part. I'm assuming they are potentially filtering out bots and dodgy accounts. They often like tagging winners, which might not be possible on private accounts.

    The instagram entries are just for visiting, not following, so anyone can get them. If I click on my name for Gleam, I have no option to add an IG account.
    Weird but oh well

      Okay, it says you need to follow on IG, so I'm not sure if your entry will be valid.

        @shaneb: Yeah that's my whole point, I can enter and also follow on IG, but there's no connection between the two. I can't add IG to gleam. And I believe there's no (official) way to find an IG from an email.
        I think the platform is just wonky and the giveaway not well thought out.

        @sinewaves7: Understood. I'm not sure how it works. You can try logging out of gleam and then select your IG account after you enter your name and e-mail. Not sure if your IG e-mail address needs to match what you login with.
