Rice has a shelf life?
it will get a smell if it's left too long. but that probably depends more on where you store it and the plastic that it's contained in. if you leave it a long time. don't keep it in the plastic it comes with. move it to something that won't break down, and away from direct light
The plastic breaking down never even crossed my mind. Thanks. Good to know.
TIL
Thanks
Meh made in Vietnam..
What's wrong with rice produced from Vietnam mate?
Personally the US sprayed so much agent orange in that country many years ago, I will always prefer rice from other polluted countries…
dam good point there.. never thought of that… sad but true ^^S
It's an interesting point, I wonder what's worse? Any residual agent orange sitting around, or the active spraying of gigalitres of it's little brother gylphosate?
Oh sorry for the inconvenience mate, didn't know it was the Vietnamese faults for getting sprayed with Agent Orange by the US.
I guess 100 mil people in Vietnam should have all passed away already because they consumed produces laced with Agent Orange. I personally bought heaps at home just to sprinkle it on my foods just for the flavour you know. /s
Just adding my 2 cents, not that i have any issue with this rice being from vietnam, i believe SunRice's Hinata short grain is also from vietnam, but recently i watched a doco about higher levels of arsenic in rice from poorer economic countries.
Hinata is really bad rice.
You get what your pay for.
So, what's wrong with it? Vietnam is the second largest rice exporter. Do you expect it is from Japan?
The rice I buy from amazon is from Japan…
Japan's Glow in the dark rice from nuclear plants
Link?
How does this compare to Sunrice Hinata Short Grain?
Probably the same sh1t.
Its always 24.50 and great rice.
https://ichibajunction.com.au/collections/rice/products/go-r… click and collect though. Australian rice but I never tried.
Showing as out of stock now.
only Super rice?? I prefer my rice to be Ultra Plus Pro Max rice.
Seems like a good deal, OP.
I wonder what the shelf life is like?
