Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Preorder Delay

Sydney NSW - Preordered the Fold 6 Navy via EPP on the 12th and was meant have Fold 6 and watch 7 delivered on the 22/7. (Payment was taken from my account that day itself). The order is stuck at 'order accepted' stage.

I've called Samsung CS multiple times and they don't have any visibility on when it will be delivered. The reason for the delay is some 'verification issue' in the IT department, which even the rep couldn't explain; it's such bs!

I asked for compensation and they said they're trying to focus on getting the product delivered first and then will talk about comp. Honestly don't know if I should just cancel and reorder but won't get the same promo/benefits from preorder stage

Anyone else in the same boat? And have you been able to make any progress?

  • I had this issue with my fold 5 and galaxy watches last year. They were part of the employee discount scheme, so it was worth the wait.

    • Fair i think you may have had better deal, the EPP was samw as EDU; had i known wouldve just gone instore and done it

  • The word "From" date was most likely used. So unless it drags on months I don't know much else you can do but wait?

      Yep youre right the word 'from' was used but they've acknowledged that there is a 'verification issue' plaguing a lot of orders but cant explain what that even means or when it will be rectified; the CS team seems to be running off a generic script everytime i call

    Standard Samsung pre-order BS. Happens every release. Some are lucky, plenty are not.

    A large corporation like Samsung really should do better.

  • Good luck. Took me about 100 days where they lost my Fold 4 phone in a warehouse. They ended up refunding me.

    • 100 days?! Wtf…i dont that kind of patience haha; and only to get a refund with no compensation?! Might as well just cancel now

      • Yeah was a nightmare. I ended up tracking down escalation employees on LinkedIn to get them to talk to me.

    FYI, I got charged twice for my trade in….

  • sorry to hear guys, I have another thread where I've been caught up in issues with the Watch Ultra.

    Genuinely do enjoy Samsung devices but absolutely hate dealing with Samsung and their disgraceful levels of service, if it wasn't for the coupon code stacking - 10/10 I would be buying from JB to have better support and aftersales service.

    Keep getting cut and past replies from customer service.

    They wont even talk about compensation 'until its been delivered', which is very strange IMO.

    I would have cancelled but basically got it for like $1400 so probably worth waiting considering the google fold is $2000+

    Super supprised that Samsung customer service is THIS bad! Seemed to be a common issue but I never knew. No issues on my last fold :(
