Don't mind the Jatz ones 😋

    • Haven't tried yet.

Save your money, they’re not better than standard Tim Tams unfortunately

        • Matter of opinion… mine says they are

    • They are pretty tasty

    • +2

Never tried them as I feel ripped off if I bought them. 165g pack vs 200g pack for the OG's for the same price. wtf Arnott's…

      • Economies of scale. It's cheaper to make the unit you've perfectly optimised for and made a billion of, than the unit that is new and requires retooling and different supply lines.

      • I came to say this, the packet is the same size but they increased the gap between biscuits

This is not good news… for my Winter waistline 😜

Normal price of Tim Tams now $5 wow

    • +9

Yea this time last year the sale price would be $2.25 at half price, (I and Pepperidge Farm) remember back in 2019, they'd be half price at $1.82!

      • Those were the days…

I was a big consumer of these (+ other similar superfoods) a while back, then I got healthy, though it was a proper mental challenge. Now, not having a tim-tam (or 8) gives the same good feeling as having it/them did before. Never ever thought I'd get to this point.

          Congratulations!!! 🎉🎉🎉

  • How common is an Amazon price match on these?

  • -1

    Jatz is rarely half price.

    • +3

just get the Aldi Eton ones, almost the same and only around $1.30 (well, last time I got them, anyway)

      • From memory, they didn't have that snap I liked with jatz. But sure I'll give it another go

        • I always get them, they seem pretty crisp to me and that is from someone who HATES Ritz

        • I've done a direct comparison between the two and they're identical. I used to think Jatz were better, but possibly Aldi improved their Eton offering? The only difference is that Etons are less salty, so I just sprinkle some additional salt into the bag then shake it before having any.

      • did try…but yeah its just not the same.

    • I read your comment so tried the Jatz for a change.

Shows you should not listen to people on the internet because they may have poor choice in tim tams. Jatz are the worst tim tams.

  • These used to be $1.80 on special not too long ago 😱

  • isnt this normal price

    • I wish. $5 is RRP. Currently 2 for $7 at Coles and $4 each at Woolworths.

$5 RRP - jfc - i used to take like half a suitcase to the relos overseas … might need to look at generics at this rate.

        • +1

Not the same. Time your hols with the 1/2 price sales :)

Tim Tam's are the best 🤌

    yummy tummy.

In my CV under weakness’s- TimTams Murray Salted Caramel

    • Hired!

  • +5

I think TimTams have gotten worse… it's kind of like they're too sweet now and less chocolatey.

    • Have you tried the dark chocolate flavour? They are less sweet tasting compared to the milk ones. I don't mind the white flavour either but less biscuits in the packet compared to the dark and original or double coat.

  • I always open the package during online standup, everyone in team screams TIMTAM

  • +2

Anyone else put their double chocs in the fridge? :)

    • +1

      @Jimothy Wongingtons Do you? Lol

@tabboy Definitely in the fridge in the warmer months :)

      • +1

yeah….wait - do people store opened packets of tim tam at room temp or something?

    • +5

I put mine in the freezer in the horribly misguided belief that since they are frozen, they are also out of site and out of mind 🤷

Newsflash: you can still bite a frozen Tim Tam 🫤

  • Which is the best flavour?

    • Double Coat or Original.

The one I avoid is the Deluxe Dark Choc Mint.

    • +1

@OzDealsWanted I also like the dark and white flavours.

Arnott’s conducted a Google survey in 2021, asking over 1,000 people over the age of 18 which classic flavour was their favourite. The folks had the impossible task of ranking the flavours in order of superiority, and these are the winners:

      • Original (37%)
      • Chewy Caramel (14%)
      • Double Coat (13.55%)
      • Dark Chocolate (13.02%)
      • Choc Mint (10%)
      • White Chocolate (9%)

  • The Jatz variety seem to be unpopular in VIC (where Jatz crackers are not even sold) and are on clearance at $2 or less…
