I like to know the shipping cost before handing over contact information as it determines if I'm actually interested in purchasing.

    • You can view shipping cost at Cart. You just need to provide suburb and postcode for a shipping quote.

I always put the sites contact email in when they demand marketing information to see the price. I bet they love receiving abandoned cart reminder emails from Shopify as much as everyone 😀

Hmmm for $15.99 seems expensive for PLA filament, when Sunlu eBay deals typically yields around the same price but for PLA+ and cheaper if you choose PLA.

Sunlu/Jayo is the manufacturer so they can set their pricing very low. Their pricing is literally what they will offer as wholesale to resellers. No one can compete with them unfortunately unless the business takes a huge loss.

You'll have to beat Sunlu/Jayo deals that come to around $12-13 per roll, delivered

or at least siddament price if these are clearance.

What pricing will your new cheap rolls be at?

    • I live off these

$17.99 for Matte PLA, $15.99 for PETG and $19.99 for ASA.

I think you'll be struggling to attract OzBargainers with those prices… + delivery

        • Don't know if you can say that. Pretty much in line with Sidd's prices (Good for ASA). If the quality and customer service is there, then I'm all for it!

And shipping to Brisbane looks just as expensive as Sidd.

          • @NigelTufnel: Maybe if you compare to Sidd. But I don't but from him because eBay deals are much better. And in terms of eBay, this deal is lacking.

I wish it wasn't that way. I wish I could throw my hard earned money at an Aus business.

            • @bboz: Sure, but Sidd doesn't struggle to attract ozbargainers, so hence my statement.
Jayo/Sunlu are great for basics, but they lack colour variety and mattes/ASA options.

          • @NigelTufnel: The supplier is new to us so we'll probably sell it at cost to Ozbargainers as a trial and receive opinions on the product. We only ordered Black, White and Grey for now. Different supplier to Sidd so it will be interesting how these filaments perform.

I am sure they are good as they have a large customer base in the states.

Most likely will require drying before printing with these budget filaments.

not bad, in line with Siddament.. but we'll need some aggressive pricing if you are trying to clear out standard PLA

Shipping looks quite expensive to other states too so may be best for local buyers

While I live off the sunlu/jayo deals I'd say $15.99 for single roll pricing is pretty good :)

      • Upvoted you to counteract the downvote muppetry.

  • I'm needing some filament for a latch that holds a cover over a fluorescent light.
There might be a little bit of UV.
The original latches are plastic but have degraded and has powdery dust fall of them, clearly some kind of material degradation.

I have the STL, someone else it printing them for me.

Can anyone suggest a filament to use?

    • Polycarb is probably best.
However you can go with, ASA, Carbon Fibre Nylon which all have higher heat resistance and UV resistance

  • Is there some type of pla filament shortage? Seems everywhere i look has very limited stock or is sold out.

Has the massive hobby uptake killed the supply chain?
