what is the benefit of boiled wool as opposed to regular wool?
I'm guessing that the main benefit is it's cheaper for them to make.
Other than it would dry quicker if washed…
Normally, boiled wool creates a thick felt like fabric (it's boiled after knitting/weaving). It's fantastically warm and robust. And expensive. I don't know how this jacket measures up though.

The title is misleading using the word "Wool" when it's polyester. Not going to get away with that on here.
