Income Protection Insurance Provider for Those Working Less than 20 Hours Per Week?

Hi, as far as I can see, all income protection insurance providers require you to work at least 20 hours per week to provide cover.

Are there any providers that will cover you if you work on average less than 20 hours per week in your job?

Thanks

It's probably an underwriter thing so it's likely a pretty universal constraint. Income Protection may not be the most suitable insurance product for your situation. There are other types of insurances that may adequately cover your need. For example, trauma or partial disability insurance (with payout clause in the case where you could feasibly 'work again') where you get a lump sum under similar triggers as Income Protection.

Have you asked your super fund? A quick seach of your question returns a bunch of hits suggesting a 15-hour minimum
