  • Is it okay for grocery shopping like Woolies or Coles xD

    • If your feeding a family of ……… 20

      Do you have a gorilla?

      • -2

        Don’t be racist, jv.

    • i guess…if you dont mind it taking up your whole boot space?
If its anything like the kmart deluxe beach cart the maneuverability prob is not fantastic either for tight turns/ or aisles where there are people / stock/ displays .

      • Presumably they dont have a car or they wouldn't need a wagon

        • I have two young kids and I did contemplate using my beach cart in lieu of a shopping trolley at one point in time since it would be easier - I have heaps of boot space though.

    link not working

Sorry, no deal. Seems regular price. Price Hipster

    • +1

Agreed. $70 from last year would be more reasonable. $130 is the previous price of the poly tray Gorilla Cart.

I got a mesh one on clearance for $30 (not enough stock to post).

    • According to the Hipster it’s above regular price and they’ve just jacked it back up from $69.

  • +4

This is the opposite of a deal. It's been $69 the last 6 months!
Why is this even being posted?

    • Where

      • At Bunnings. Check the Price Hipster link above.

    • +5

      69 and im sold

    • I suppose the Price Hipster data could be wrong. It's usually pretty good.
      @jazoom
I've revoked my neg to give it the benefit of the doubt.

Its been $152 at mitre10 from and never got any discounts.
    https://www.mitre10.com.au/gorilla-carts-collapsible-folding…

  • I got gifted one of these by the inlaws.

Takes up a lot of space and I haven't found a use for it yet.

Don't bother unless you have a specific use in mind.

    • +2

Not good. Thin wheels make it not beach friendly, maybe to carry things in a bbq in a park? I have a similar cart (thick wheels tho) and the only good use is beach.

Look for used ones on marketplace and you'll learn quickly where they break (lots of places).

      • +1 for thick wheels for the beach. Sometimes good for picnics also. Anywhere you need to lug a reasonable amount of stuff a reasonable distance from your car.

But yeah, need one with thick wheels or that's 80% of the use case out the window.

    • great if you have kids and going somewhere that requires an esky and a few camp chairs. It frees up many hands.

      • i thought you will say put the kids inside

        • When i had my twins as soon as they could sit up into the trolley they went. It was far more practical. Double width prams are a pain to drive around.

These carts are extremely useful if youre moving a lot of stuff. It's your issue if you can't make good use of a good gift. They also fold up RE complaint about space.

  • +1

This one is cheaper and has wider wheels and a 80KG capacity

Damn… You posted a price increase

  • can this be used for firewood?

    • maybe if you load and unload it carefully? you prob want the poly tub dump cart versions with the anti puncture tires if you're doing any decent sized load of fire wood (i assume it would be if you're even half considering buying a cart for firewood)

  • 68ish last time via mitre10.

    this is price increase.

    no deal.

  • Can you fit an average human body in this one, and are the wheels good for transporting through, say, a forest at night?

  • 180L sports wagon? If only high yield investment guy knew this before he bought his BMW. This almost doubled in 6 months 👍

    • Even properties are going down, and you think a trolley goes double. 🫡.

As mentioned in description it was on clearance for $70 in bunnings (not Mitre10). None of the Bunnings had stock of it.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/818635

I had been chasing it for quite a while and never found a deal or discount.

Even mitre10 employees get it at $130 odd after members discount.

If Bunnings is giving you for $130 ($120 with PowerPass), i guess its a deal.

Mitte10 always had it for $150.
