I'm not sure if I'm just remembering wrong, but about 1.5 years ago when I was last in the market for a gaming laptop, 3060 equipped laptops with 1440p screens were quite affordable. Now, everywhere I look RTX4050 laptops cost the same, but with low wattage limits and 1080p screens.
I need a replacement (about to get a refund on the old one after it died under warranty) and I'm struggling to find anything half decent for <$1,500, which is about what I paid for my Intel X15 (full wattage 3060, 1440p 144hz, good cooling etc) a year and a half or so ago. I already have a gaming deskop, but I do travel and like to game while I'm at the hotel, ~15.6" is ideal for luggage purposes.
TL;DR - Would be very appreciative if anyone can point out a bargain for a 15.6" 1440p unit, with a 4050 or 4060 that isn't crippled by wattage limit.
PS: I had to take Mwave to ACAT to get my refund, so I'm certainly not buying anything from them again.
