Looks to be ATL according to camelx3. A good all-rounder lens - have one for travel with my A6700. Bought mine for ~$1,000 only a couple months ago :(
Don't forget giftcard cashbacks etc.

Don’t think there is a Canon EF or RF mount of this lens, which one did you have? Care to share why it was the worst you have?
According to reviews this have above average optical distortions, usually can be corrected in camera. Other than this, most reviews were quite positive. I don’t have this lens but own 2 other Tamrons, a 70-300 FF mirrorless and 35-150 FF mirrorless, both very good especially the latter, but I usually travel with 70-300 due to weight.
Think this lens is only available with Sony and Fujifilm mounts. Agree with orangutan, only negative is lens distortion at wide angle and ultra zoomed, but it can be corrected automatically in camera. My 6700 has an option I enable in the menu and it fixes it. Otherwise reviews a very positive - both critical and user reviews.
Ah I think I had the 28-300mm my mistake
The only lens worse than the Tamron 28-300XR I've ever owned is the old Nikon 70-300. The newer Nikon AFS and AF-P 70-300 VR lenses are great but the old screw motor lens is the only one I ever sold. Might as well stick a plastic coke bottle on the front of the camera. Though I'm not sure that keeping the Tamron made sense either. Contrast and sharpness were sub-par and I preferred to hang 2 camera bodies off my neck than use it.
My Nikkor 70-300mm AF-S isn’t good, soft especially at long end, slow focus can’t even keep up with kids sports, heavy. Tamron 70-300 Z mount easily wins almost every categories except maybe optical distortion.
Tamron have gotten pretty good now, worth considering especially when on a budget…
I've found Tamron hit and miss. The Tamron SP AF 90mm f/2.8 Di is another example. I have one that is fantastic on a Canon mount and one on a Nikon mount that only became usable again once I obtained bodies with AF adjustment. But as for 18-300 or 28-300 that's just too large a range to cover without big compromises, even with first party lenses.
Used to have Tamron 28-200 EF mount on a very old film Canon SLR, suspect poorly calibrated to the body and images always a little soft. Wanted to pair with a Sigma but was out of stock during that time. Was my first SLR and didn’t know how to calibrate (still don’t). Learned to live with it for several years, never printed anything larger than 4R. Later moved to Nikon APS-c DSLR, much better picture quality and cheaper than the Canon combo, have been a Nikon user ever since.
18-300mm, it's the only lens I'll ever need.
slow at the long end
Thats what she said
f/6.3 still ok… imagine Nikkor 28-400 f/8 at the long end…
Maybe shouldn’t compare this way, this is APS-C but the Nikkor is FF.
The price is good.
If it's the same quality as the Canon version it's a terrible lens. The worst lens I've ever owned and used.
