Good post. Motto motto is generally ok for takeaway style ramen but doesn’t compete with a good store. Size is comparatively small. Unfortunately, having tried Marrickville, Macquarie Park, Broadway and this new Sydney Central store, this new store is by far the worst I have tried. Usually the other stores give you a nicely prepared ramen in a hard bowl, but Sydney Central gives you a cold noodle block and ramen in a take away container to mix yourself. The noodles stick to the paper disposable bowl and is not a pleasurable experience to eat with cold noodles stuck together. For $1 and no queue then go for it, otherwise, not worth my stomach capacity at this store. Hopefully they improve as it’s a good location.

    • How does it compare to Ippudo

      • +1

It's about $20 cheaper on this deal

      • in my experience:
        ippudo in japan - 6/10
        ippudo overseas - 7/10
        motto motto - 4/10

Gave this a go today. Pretty fire.

Noodle and broth was good, wasn’t too over powering. A lot of the best ramen places trying to out do each other with more moorish noodles or thicker broth, resulting in a chemical after-taste in the noodles or broth which I dislike.
