Whatโs the difference?
yep the badge I am an collector so I care about a pure Australia only collection.
Fair enough ๐๐ฝ
Basically ports of the ps3 version?
yep but better fps ps3 versions was like 30 fps :D
DS1 is a proper remaster with rock solid 60fps.
DS2 is an enhanced port that did get backported to PS3 (Scholar content), also has all DLC included and runs at a solid 60fps.
DS3 is the complete edition with DLC included. The PS5 can max it out at 60fps at 1080p.
if you enjoy pain and suffering.

What are the odds of this arriving without dented edges and sides since this one comes with a cardboard sleeve cover
From my experience the corners are fine but the disc is always lose in the damn case.
Even when they are loose, it's rare for blu-ray discs to get scratched. I've only had one come with scratches but that was loose in a steelbook which generally has a sharper spindle.
Pretty much zero. Amazon UK will use a padded bag or envelope. Maybe if you order more items and get lucky with a combined shipment.
Mine arrived perfectly fine, however as someone mentioned, I believe the disc was a bit loose in the case, but can confirm no scratches/damages.
As someone who is an avid fan of the FROM Software catalogue, if you haven't played these and are looking for what I consider to be the pinnacle of gaming, then I highly recommend this series. It will help you learn things about yourself that you never knew. It will teach you patience. Perseverance. And when you finally overcome an obstacle that seemed impossible at first, you will feel a sense of exhilaration that you have never felt before while gaming.
The hardest FROM Software title is the one you play first. As learning how the mechanics and combat work are the basics of "gitting gud". The biggest tip I can give anyone is to learn not to get angry when you die. It's part of the experience.
Also, don't start with DS2. Probably play it last
I started with DS2. And I couldn't get why people said it was the worst of the series.
Until I went and did all of them and then came back to it and I was like ugh.. Now I get it.
DS2 (specifically SotFS) turned me away from any souls game for the longest time. Tried elden ring last night and enjoyed it so far. Might try DS1 and DS3 after
So it's like the game version of the movie "Edge of Tomorrow"?
Pretty much. You should view every death as a learning opportunity. And also when you die, you lose your currency/level experience at the spot you died and if you don't make it back to it and die again you lose it permanently. This can seem…. frustrating at the best of times. But it's really as not as big a deal as it seems. Even if you lose a lot, souls can always be farmed/replaced.
Except Demon's Souls, where dying turns the tendency of that particular world "blacker." So if you die too much, the difficulty gets even harder lol.
I kinda liked that some enemies or story events would only appear at "Pure Black," or "Pure White" tendency in worlds and was always sad that it didn't carry over to other Souls games.@freekay: Yeah Demon Souls is easily the most inaccessible. The limited finite healing items, the slightly clunky combat / movement. The almost complete lack of check points and the run up to each boss…. It's the only one I played through once and didn't have the urge to go through again.
wished it was the Australian version.
