There has been a recall for the ToolPRO 1600kg Low Profile Hydraulic Trolley Jack sold by Super Cheap Auto. Spread the word, check yours or your mate's trolley jack.

Only batches starting with ‘TH202311’ are being recalled

Reasons the product is recalled

The front wheel axle, lifting arm pivot shaft, or cylinder pivot shaft may break during normal use.

This can also occur while the jack is not in use.

The hazards to consumers

There is a risk of serious injury or death if the jack fails causing a vehicle to collapse on a consumer.

What consumers should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and check the manufacturing batch of their jack. The manufacturing batch is marked on a white label placed near the instruction label.

Consumers with recalled products should return the product to their nearest Supercheap Auto store for a replacement unit or refund.

    WOW, so the jack just randomly breaks while sitting there unused!

    • Yeah, I was surprised when I read that. Must be made out of paper mache or something.

  • wtf did they do with this batch, ive had mine for years and apparently its only this batch sold in 2024.

      Probably started using lower quality components.

  • So it's only a batch sold in this year? Almost had a heart-attack as I have one I bought many years ago. Bought mine from a deal posted here in August 2017 for half price, $49.97. So far no issues, and fingers crossed it stays that way.

    • Only batches starting with TH202311. Mabe manufactured in November 2023? I don't know how it works. Looks like they were sold just recently though. Must be something seriously wrong with the part(s) in question if they can fail even when not in use.

      • Yeah, that's super scary. I hope they would go out of their way to track down buyers who would probably miss this recall.
