If you're getting into golf "The Golfer" package seems good value. Around $20 a round. WOW.

If I'm reading it right, its only one round per course, with a total of 12 rounds.

    • Correct. Midweek only as well.

A few people have recommended https://socialgolfaustralia.com.au/ for the handicap on Reddit. It doesn't get you course time though.

      • WA has a few courses available on weekends

  • Ive been on 'The Golfer' membership for a couple of years now. Future golf host weekly events at various courses, with what looks like some really good prizes (ive never been). I use it for the social round vouchers and to get a handicap to play on my local comp. Some really nice courses you get to play once for free, playing 3 or 4 of those better courses throughout the year means the membership pays for itself.

Only negative there are some dinosaurs in pro shops out there and you get plenty of judgement when providing your Future Golf GA number. One course even told me i can play (paying the comp fee) but im not eligible for any of the prizes as "im not a member of a bricks and mortar club" lol….

For noobs like me - A "round" typically consists of 18 holes that are played in the order determined by the course layout. Each hole is played once in the round on a standard course of 18 holes. The game can be played by any number of people, although a typical group will have 1–4 people playing the round.

Thats almost 1$ for dropping your ball in a hole. Sounds cheap. But remember, other 1-4 people will also drop thier ball in the same hole. So the hole is shared. If you like group sports then that should be fun.

  • Isn't this deal on all the time? but called something different. Last month it was Tax Time.
