Got this email this morning, don't think i can claim anything in AUS.
Thought it was interesting, maybe same thing would happen here to protect consumers!

I got that email too. It looked like spam email to me. I hope my email didn't get leaked.
Gift vouchers should not have expiry dates nor should they be treated differently than cash.
Accor goft certificaates spring to mind. You can not use their gift cards to pay for items that are discounted (ie accor advantage plus benefits).
