Small Portable Speaker - Budget Under $100

Hi guys, i'm looking for a really small portable speaker that doesn't sound completely bad.

Just want something for background noise for when I'm travelling in hotel rooms. Will be for indoor use. Need USB C for charging. Has to be similar size to that as I don't want to travel with anything too big

Is there anything better than this for under about $100?

Thanks

  • thought the jbl go 3's always looked kinda cute and decent value with decent reviews

otherwise anker motion plus for $99 ish i think is awesome (got 1 for $80 but its never been that price again since then…)

    • Thanks yeah was looking at the motion+ vs the soundcore mini. Was looking at the motion+ and it's a bit big and 1.2kg so would be a bit much if I'm only taking a carry on bag.

      • Yeah bit of a brick but for the sound and money it’s great

  • I'd go for pre-owned Bose Soundlink Mini II; nothing else around $100 comes close. But no USB-C. Audio is wholly subjective so whatever works for you but I highly recommend an in-store demo before you choose.

  • I was going to say a used Harman Kardon studio speaker, but the prices of those have gone way up since I checked years ago.

  • I just picked up a Tribit XSound Go during Prime Day sales, $50 and sounds good enough for me.

  • One version of of this Anker Glow Mini was 39.99 on prime day. I was very tempted but didn't buy as i want usb inpput as well.

  • Only if you're an iPhone user, a HomePod mini would be a fine travel speaker.
