  • At first i think they are similar like berocca

    • +7

      What about at second?

    • +4

I find Hydralyte an absolute godsend for hangovers compared to Berocca. Both are great tho.

    • +2

Berocca contains no electrolytes. Totally different purposes. For workouts and hangovers you'd want electrolytes .

      • +1

this, one is electrolytes and one vitamins, totally different, but taste wise hydrolyte is soo good, i can drink this stuff all day

        • When you need those salts , this stuff tastes better than anything

  • +5

You gotta get the powder for value for money. I like eating these like fizzy lollies though.

  • +1

Thanks op. Bae Juice also on sale for drinking…😅

Non of these deals come close to the value for money of Voost Electrolytes at costco. 160 tablets for $42.

    • How does it compare to ALDI?

      • +1

I think they are identical, both made in Germany look and taste the same I think it’s the same people. I loaded up on Voost for $6 a pack of 20 on Amazon a few weeks ago . Plus the ALDI ones are over $8 now

      • +2

I don’t recall the flavours but I have found the Aldi ones to have a horrendous taste.

        • +1

same with coles brand ones that are made in Türkiye

        • Not sure about aldi, but Voost tastes great. Specially orange.

    • +1

I'm quite sure that Voost is like Berrocca as a Multivitamin rather than one that restores electrolytes like Hydrolyte.

      • +1

Nah they have all different sorts

      • They do have electrolyte ones.

  • Not a lot of actual sodium/potassium in these for your money, and zero magnesium. Much better options out there if you want something other than a placebo hangover cure.

    • +2

Could you please suggest something? Looking to buy something good for curing hangovers and after gym/sports replenishment.

      • Unfortunately there aren't really any good hangover cures, the best treatment is prevention by not overdoing it and staying hydrated. For sports if you are actually doing enough exercise for long enough to warrant electrolyte replacement the only one I'd bother with is LMNT. Expensive on the surface but you are actually getting proper ratios and far more per sachet than any other brand I've looked at.

If you are just a regular gym goer not on a ketogenic diet you will get enough electrolytes from food typically and I wouldn't bother with supplementation.

      • Try the sports tub - links in my comment below.

    • +1, what do you suggest? I've been purchasing LMNT but it's quite expensive.

      • Staminade from your supermarket. Has Sodium, Potassium and unlike Gatoraide/Poweraide it also has Magnesium. There is a reduced sugar orange version as well.

        Active ingredients 600 ml (17.9 g):
        Glucose 12g
        Citric acid 2.31 g
        Sodium 690 mg
        from Sodium chloride
        Potassium 353 mg
        from Potassium citrate
        Magnesium 29 mg
        from Magnesium sulfate monohydrate
        Calcium 48 mg
        from Calcium carbonate
        Zinc 1.2 mg
        from Zinc sulfate monohydrate
        Iron 600 micrograms
        from Ferrous sulfate
        Copper 180 micrograms
        from Copper gluconate
        Manganese 300 micrograms
        from Manganese sulfate monohydrate

        Electrolytes
        Sodium, Potassium

        Minerals
Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Zinc, Manganese, Copper

        • +1

I think you've mixed up your copy and pastes. That looks like the Hydralyte powder specs rather than Staminade. :)

  • +1

    It’s got what plants crave!

    • The thirst mutilator!

  • +2

Just buy the sports tub! I used to do the powders - 1 sachet per glass of water. Tried the tablets, but you need to take 2 tablets for one dose, plus they taste super acidic. The tubs work out much cheaper, plus the sports version gives lots more potassium, etc.

$36.49 for 900g tub of Hydralyte Sports comes in 2 flavours:

    Orange - https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/86218/hydralyte-spor…

    Lemon Lime - https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/86217/hydralyte-spor…

    • It is better value if you consume a lot. Just keep in mind that the powder hardens after a few months once opened and is not the same taste.

  • +1

Cheaper per tablet at Chemist Warehouse if you go in-store, but with delivery Amazon is better

  • -1

Chemist Warehouse also have the multi flavour, 3 flavours 60 tablets at 23.99 which I think is a better deal.
