Looking to buy an Arcan Jack (I think they only have one model) from Costco but I don't have membership.

I prefer to meet at Liverpool Westfields or anywhere near the suburb to pick it up.

Only condition is that I also want the receipt with it :)

I'm willing to give $10 for your troubles.

I know you can make membership and cancel but seems like a hassle for me.

Note: It is approx 24kg.

By the way, does anyone know the current cost of the jack?

    Go to Auburn, fork out money in advance.

    Get this heavy item to Liverpool, meet up with stranger at 3rd party location (almost never ends well).

    That is a LOT of hassle for $10, even if it is on the way for someone.

      Just thought I might give it a shot, I've sold lots of things on gumtree all the time @ 3rd party locations and there hasn't been any problems (besides one time when a person never showed up!).

    If you really wanted one and costco is the only place that's selling it, just sign up, buy your item and then get a membership refund. Or be an Ozbargainer and wait 364 days before getting that refund.

      Does anyone know the process of getting a membership and cancelling it?

      Can I cancel it via email request or do I have to go into the store?

      We have to go in store to create the membership and then take photos or something, right?

        Just go in to the store. Pay membership. You will be surprised how soon the savings add up. I only go 2-3 times a year, but it's worth it, until the 2nd store in Ringwood opens. Then I'll go More often.

        You are going through a lot of hassle to spend $10. That's 20% of your membership paid. Buy some milk, bread, eggs, cereal, Vegemite and you have half your membership saved in the first shop.

    I went yesterday, I even looked at that jack, still too high to fit under my car.

    Would have bought you one and met you outside. Anthing more is just a pain.

    BTW, they only sell 1kg tubs of vegimite, we still have ours, unopened. Bought some when we went through 2 jars in a month. Then just went off it.

        You can get them from other places, from memory you can get them from about $200 or so.

        I have been driving my cars up onto pavers/bricks for so long I cant justify the cost of a new jack to save 15 seconds.

        I have a gtr, lots of stuff. Probably sell it and go back to bikes for a bit

          These jacks are known to fit down lowered cars from my understanding. I guess your car must be quite low! Very popular and recommended in car forums.

          What do you mean by "how long it holds the profile for" ?

          Its low for about 50cm, then normal size from there

          So if your bumper to X member is more then 50cm it will be pretty much useless anyway
