Trying to Save on a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6

DISCLAIMER: I am not one of the many who have signed up today to get an "sr6" code

I'm looking to get the fold6 and realise I have missed the boat on the best deal (events etc)

But I'm hoping someone can point me in the best direction to save a little bit instead of having to pay $2800

Thanks in advance

  • Just wait, there's no way it'll stay at that price for long once it hits retail.

i think its been proven that Samsung's flagships are never cheaper than they are at launch. I mean with all the codes people were getting the fold6 for less than the fold5 is in retail currently

  • if you have a edu email address they are $2199 and less with trade in

thanks for reminding me I ended up using my Westpac account for the EPP store paid $1608 for the phone and buds pro 3 ($400 rrp) with $100 discount code and the UNFOLDAI code.

I needed new headphones anyway so I'm pretty happy with that price.

      • do you get discount using westpac account?
what does EPP means? is it different from education store? thanks

        • Same prices and deals as education store. I can actually use either but the Westpac one is eair because it doesn't require a login

Try to save? Dont buy this. Too expensive. Its just a phone.

I need a new phone my current one is a health hazard (glass splinters galore) it's an iPhone 8 plus I'm the type of person that will use a phone for ever or until it dies. The screen on this was perfect until my little bundle of joy 14 month old daughter decided it shouldnt be in such good condition for its age and dropped it for me.

Anyway I got the phone and ear buds pro 3 for $1608.

      • If you're after longevity, don't get a folding phone. I say this as someone who owns one. You're just not going to get the same life out of it.

I have heard this but my wife has a Z Flip from 2020 so it's either good luck, how you look after the phone or how you use it I guess.

I'm thinking I might jump on the upgrade hamster wheel with everyone else anyway alot of people with Samsung's are upgrading to the latest and greatest for $700-800 each year with trade in…doesn't sound so bad. Is it wasted money? Maybe. But there would probably be nothing else I own that I use more than my phone (guess that's the case for alot of people)

I use my Galaxy Tab and S pen alot for work and I figure having the larger screen and S pen might help me and be useful.

Either way we all need to treat ourselves some times and a brand new "flagship" phone for $1300 sounds like a bargain these days and that's why we are all here.

  • Wait for next year, surely you save a lot

  • Find a friend who can do salary sacrifice. Get about 40% back whatever you pay. My last Fold 4 cost me about $700 2 years ago.

Suggest going to a local Samsung Experience store with a student ID or a student number (doesn't have to be active and works without access to student email!) and ask for a 20% off. Tried this at Samsung Sydney and Parramatta stores and worked for Fold 6/Flip 6.
If you have a phone to trade-in, also ask Samsung chat and they can gave you an additional $250 trade-in bonus using a FL6 code (generated upon request) plus $150 trade-in bonus existing on Samsung website.
