JB regularly has coupon/gift card promos where you buy a coffee machine for $2k+ and you get a $200 or $250 gift card to use.
Realistically since gift cards aren't tracked once they're activated, what's stopping me from buying a coffee machine, getting my gift card activated etc, then returning the coffee machine not long after/at a different store, keeping the gift card, then repeating the process?

Do you get the gc straight away or after some period? That period may be after the return period is over
I know for a fact that they link every bonus GC receipt with the respective sale receipt, even when you don’t see it as a customer, it’s kept on their back end. So don’t even try it unless you want to lose face.

How are you going to return it? I didn't think jb does change of mind returns. Even if they did allow returns you'd have to do quite a few to make it worthwhile and then they'd likely notice.

I was given a gift with the receipt in case it wasn't suitable, purchased from JB, I took it back and they asked about the giftcard which I didn't know about, they gave me a refund minus the value of the giftcard.
