Hey guys. These tips should help answer some questions. Have a great day everyone 🙌

    • A new customer is defined by NordVPN, and nothing to do with your TopCashbackAU account. Simply use a new email address at their end, the same TopCashbackAU account as always, and you're good to go.

    • Click/tap through TopCashbackAU, don't click/tap away to other sites looking for codes, don't use any 3rd party plugins, and avoid browsers such as Brave. Best to use the TopCashbackAU mobile app on 4G/5G as this eliminates potential issues with WiFi/router firewalls etc. Tracking for NordVPN is not instantaneous and may take a few hours.

    • All plans (discounted or not, excluding upsold products) are eligible for the increased cashback (2-year, 1-year, monthly). Remove up-sold products such as NordPass & NordLocker as they are ineligible for cashback. So unless you really need or want the extras, best option (IMHO) is to choose one of the Basic plans and not Plus or Complete.

    • A tip from comments in previous posts is to select a country with no GST to save further at checkout as GST is ineligible for cashback. Pay with a card that does not charge overseas transaction fees.

    • And finally remember you have the safety net of NordVPN's 30-day money back guarantee. Should tracking fail or if you’re not happy with the product, I strongly suggest cancelling rather than submitting a claim as you're then in the hands of NordVPN's analytics for attribution.

  • 100%!? Hmm, anyone used this that can attest to its reliability and speed, especially for 4k streaming use?

    • +1

I've found Nord to be great for sailing the seven seas; however when it comes to using it to access overseas streaming services (Netflix/Prime etc.), I've found that they usually get detected and blocked.

Maybe I'm just doing something wrong? Happy to get any tips if someone else has had more success.

  • Lol, 98% wasn't enough for you guys, they listened!

  • I’ve only ever used cash rewards and ShopBack.. is this safe and reliable and works? Thanks

    • -1

I gave them a try recently. They deleted my account without notice saying I had more than one which is in no way true. Support have not responded to my plea. Thankfully only lost a small balance but I wouldn't risk it again. Shopback and Cashrewards might not track occasionally, but at least they don't blatantly steal locked in cash back.

      • Who? Top cashback?

So do you suggest to wait until cash rewards has the 100%?

        • Yes Topcashback. I'll be waiting for cashrewards

      • hah shopback stole my cashback so theres 2

        • Ah well damn. Maybe cashrewards the winner.

“ A tip from comments in previous posts is to select a country with no GST to save further at checkout as GST is ineligible for cashback. Pay with a card that does not charge overseas transaction fees.”

Which country/state then please? Is this when making an account with nordvpn .. I’m confused.. never used this before nor top cashback

    Which cards don’t charge?

    Thanks

    • Christmas Island, paid in AUD.

      • Thanks so is that when registering an account with top cashback or nordvpn or billing/shipping details for either or all of them please?

I haven’t investigated the sign up process for any of them :(

Paid in aud via any credit card? PayPal?

        Thanks

        • This is for NordVPN checkout, so no added tax charged.

          • @yojabbajabba: Do you put in your right street address.. etc but then Christmas Island or fake street too? Haha

And pay via Mastercard or can PayPal be ok for no fees and tax thanks

            Sorry newbie

Which plan do you suggest please?

Himalpatel said complete was 129 for 2 years but mine is showing 144 haha

2 years or 1 year for which plan? Thanks mate

            • @b4rg: are you sure you're on the basic plan, without the extra Nord products? Last time I got a 2 year plan for around A$125,

              • @The-Real Team Doge: It’s the plus plan.. do you suggest basic or plus?

                • @b4rg: Check out the third dot points in the post, they suggest the basic plan (for however many months/years you want). Just make sure you're only buying NordVPN as the service/product.

I got the basic one because I don't need their password manager and whatever else they're trying to sell.

  • Does the nord vpn complete plan which cost around $129 for 2 year qualify for 100% cashback ? Thanks!

    • Mine is coming up as 143 for 2 years for complete..

      • Change country to christmas island to save GST

        • Still comes up with 144 usd

          • @b4rg: Please clear your browsing history and start again. The price may reduce to what it should be. When you click a few times, NordVPN increases the price. I paid the higher price last time but the cashback is relative so it wasn't a loss.

The best value is to choose the basic 2 year plan and any country with no GST. The cashback received may not be 100% the same amount you paid due to the conversion rate, even when using a card without international fees.

TopCashback is paying 100% cashback but what you receive may have a shortfall of a few dollars.

            • @trixieb: Thanks so sneaky with them increasing it when clicking a few times!

              • @b4rg: Very sneaky. With reference to your other comment, please choose the basic plan and not the extras to get close to 100% cashback.

                • @trixieb: So do you recommend downloading your own free anti malware and ad and tracker blocker? Which ones do you suggest please?

                  Thanks

                  • @b4rg: Sorry I'm not the best person to answer.
I use the not popular Norton 360 Advanced.
I don't apply the ad or tracker blocker in case I forget to turn off when I buy through Cashback sites.

                    • @trixieb: What about if you use sites like yify that have constant pop ups?

                      • @b4rg: I put up with the constant pop ups lol

How about using the free Opera or free Brave browsers? Please don't use these browsers when you shop at Cashback sites as your orders won't track and cashback will be rejected.

Best Ad Blockers in Australia: https://sourceforge.net/software/ad-blockers/australia/

                        • @trixieb: If we pay by PayPal does it charge fees or do you recommend paying by credit card

                          • @b4rg: I used PayPal with a credit card that had no international fees and wasn't charged extra.

As mentioned previously, the cashback you receive will be a few dollars less than what you actually pay (including using a card with no international fees). There is some hidden conversion fee and it's the same if you use another cashback company. TopCashback is paying 100% back.

                            • @trixieb: Have you ever used temu and a cashback with a vpn? I’ve never used temu so I’m not sure lol

                              • @b4rg: Please don't use a VPN when you shop at Temu (or other businesses) via TopCashback (or cashback sites) as your order may not track. The cashback may be rejected.

                                T&Cs Temu/TopCashback:

Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they may prevent your order from tracking.

                                • @trixieb: Thanks so go into vpn and disconnect right?

    • can't use other discount codes, otherwise you wont be legible for the cashback.

  • As A New Nord Customer I just did the 2 yr basic plan (clicked through TCB on my Edge browser) using Xmas Island as location and it was ($95 USD). Paid via paypal (using 28 Deg MC) charged $144 AUD…. If I don't get my 100% CB, I will hunt down TA and tie his shoelace's together!!! 😝😝😝
Quick update; With-in 15 mins the Nord CB is showing up in TCB as Pending for $138.96 AUD. I'll be more than happy if that ends up getting Confirmed !! (Estimated Payable 12 weeks)

    • +1

Please don’t do that lol 😲

It will be confirmed unless you cancel. Enjoy 🤑

  • Ok so I’ve signed up… are there certain settings etc I need to choose when installing etc? I’m stuck on step 3 and it won’t let me go to step 4 until I download the ios app but I want it to be installed on the windows computer

      • Thanks so is it always best to choose the Australian server closest to where we are located..?

Is this the case when trying to access stuff from overseas that is usually blocked? Or don’t people sign up to subscriptions based on overseas location .. that you can’t get here? Or cheaper there?

Sorry for the dumb qs.. this is all new to me haha

        • I didn't find much difference between the Australian cities.

It may not always work out with NordVPN or similar depending on the overseas websites as some can detect and block the VPN.

I wasn't able to subscribe to Paramount Plus US and Vudu US using Nord VPN (& Proton VPN). I contacted NordVPN several times but they couldn't help.

  • Anyone ever used a cashback and temu before with a vpn?

I’ve never used temu before so I’m lost too!

    Thanks

      • Since installing nordvpn on the computer, I now can’t view my computer media that has added to the iTunes on that computer .. movies.. via my Apple TV box attached to my tv.. (iTunes home sharing)

Apple iTunes home sharing is on as usual.. and logged in.. on my computer that has nordvpn installed on it.. made sure everything is on as normal..

I can now only get it to share to my Apple TV box connected to my tv if nordvpn is disconnected on the computer :(

why is this please? Any idea how to fix please?

        Thanks

I think it is similar to this issue?

  • I just purchased 2 years subscription through TopCashBack, but when I go to "My Visited Merchants", it says "You do not appear to have clicked through to any of our merchants yet." I have bought loads of things through TCB, so what does this mean??!

    • Just checking if you meant this page?

From TA: This page shows the very last click you make to any given store:

      https://www.topcashback.com.au/account/earnings/clicks/

      Ref: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15511211/redir

      • Ok, got it - thanks - it's on that page.

It was this page that was blank: https://www.topcashback.com.au/my-visited/

        What's the difference?

        • I'm not sure why NordVPN isn't also showing up on "My Visited Merchants" page when you had visited it. The "earnings/clicks" page shows the merchants that you actually clicked for cashback purposes.

The "My Visited Merchants" page shows your browsing history and mine does have a few merchants I had visited but may not have clicked. The merchants seem similar to the "earnings/clicks" page when I've clicked on the page (for recording for cashback).

          • My Visited Merchants Info
          • You do not appear to have clicked through to any of our merchants yet (seems to be there by default)
          • My Browsed Merchants
Shows the history of browsed merchants

For your purchases for cashback tracking, the link TA gave is the one TCB checks for cashback claims:
          https://www.topcashback.com.au/account/earnings/clicks/

  • Thanks. Just signed up for top cashback, bought NORd and it’s already tracked. I used Xmas island and after cash back I paid $4.5 for 2 years VPN.

  • Is reward.ist the best site to compare cash back deals.. sorry random q

  • @tightarse what's the currency of the tracked amount in my TopCashback dashboard?
I can't tell and there isn't anywhere on the sigh I could find which clarifies?

  • Is it just me or does nordvpn completely kill tixati when trying to dl torrents lol :(

It has turned it into snail speeds like dial up when it was dl then in a few mins.. now takes like an hour

    What’s the solution please?

So far haven’t had much luck with nord

  • i missed it, pls do it again
