  • Just wondering, is the turbo model better than this? Thanks for sharing op.

    • +1

I think the turbo might be slightly more powerful, but this is a newer model.

I've got the turbo professional, and one feature on the Max model that I would really like is separate chambers for cleaning solution and water, which automatically mix as you use it. With the turbo (and pretty much all their other models?) you have to mix the cleaning solution and warm water yourself before you use it.

      • Turbo is much more powerful, it has a 750W motor for suction while this has a 360W motor. Its only a slight improvement in suction over the small Spotclean which has a 330W motor.

It has other improvements over the Spotclean though, its quieter, more capacity, etc so worth the bit extra especially at this discounted price but the Turbo is in a different league.

Ahh, thank you. Didn't realise there was that much difference.

i paid a bit more and got the turbo instead, no regrets it’s much more powerful meaning it will suck up all the dirty water much better and also the water thank is much larger (which doesn’t even last that long honestly)

  • I see that some of the carpet cleaners (like the Bissell 3631F) have a spotcleaning hose function, is there any advantage to getting a dedicated spotcleaner like this one?

    • +4

Honestly I have the regular spotclean from Bissell and it's pretty gutless. There's just not enough suction to pull much of the liquid back out. It's handy enough if you spill something on carpet and want to clean it straight away, but if you want to do your whole car or something it's just not up to the task.

Not sure how this one compares though.. maybe it has better suction. Though I've heard the turbo is pretty decent for suction.

Eventually I want to pick up a Numatic George wet/dry vac/extractor when my wallet allows me, but it costs like 3 times as much so isn't exactly a fair comparison 😬

Found one for $450 used if you're really keen!

          That's a good price but that's a bit of a drive 😅

      • You can just get a wet dry shop vac and attach a transparent water extraction nozzle from eBay/amz/ali to it. About a 3rd of the price of these spot cleaning machines and almost as good as a George

I think the main advantages are portability and price maybe storage to if limited for space. I'm also tossing up these options 😀

  • Hows this vs a KMART one?

  • Keen to hear thoughts vs this Vax one which can be had for $137 with the current $30 voucher
