My dad's business laptop carked it so I need to get him a new one by the latest tomorrow. Requirements:

Number Pad
14" to 16"
Not a flimsy POS
$1500ish
Windows

I'm thinking an Lenovo IdeaPad Slim from JB might be the way to go.

Anything else I should look at?

Update: Settled thanks everyone and @TrdiK89. I got the $1499 Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 16" Core Ultra 7 16GB 1TB from TGG with cash back and free 90 min delivery.

Does it have to be with Windows? Apple silicone stuff and build quality is pretty good but in saying that if you are looking at Lenovo's they are pretty decent with their build quality when it comes to ThinkPad's and IdeaPad's my choice would still be MacBook

  Sorry I should have added that. Yeah dad is firm on Windows despite my push over the years. ThinkPad is usually my first choice for Windows laptops but it seems impossible to get them off the shelf anywhere.

Lenovo IdeaPads are usually not as robust as the Thinkpad line. That said, no big box electronics store will stock business-grade Thinkpads, they usually stock the more mainstream and Yoga's are probably the most premium line you'll find at JB Hifi

I can see you're in WA, have you tried these PC stores in Perth:

  Another vote for Thinkpad over IdeaPads. There’s a bunch of Thinkpads on Amazon with Prime delivery, new and refurb.
