I really rate Julius Marlow's, especially for this price. They are a wider fit which caters for my clown feet.
Looks to be limited to some sizes: 7-10US is fine, but stock levels get low or non-existent above that.

Dan murphys?
Cognac
How true do you find their fit? I'm normally a US 9.5-10 for runner but prefer a slightly wider shoe. Would I stay with US9.5 for this too?
Hard to say, I'm a 14us and the 14us is spot on for me. Just caters for my wide foot better that most boots/dress shoes
Very difficult with shoe, my size for Stan Smith 7, adidas sport shoe 8, Hush Puppies 7, all US.
Tony Grieg approved for key insertion duties.
Nice. The only time I've ever heard the name Julius Marlow is on one of Billy Birmingham's 12th Man albums when Tony Grieg is threatening somebody not to touch his Julius Marlows
He nearly lost one of the old Julias Marlows down a crack on the pitch.
Lucky , as Tony said “ I don’t hood a grudge. To me a grudge is a place to paahrk your caahr ”.
I found Hush Puppies more comfortable but not sure about the leather.
Hush Puppies standards have dropped a lot in recent years. They've replaced a lot of the materials with cheaper alternatives. I don't look at them anymore.
These are OK-ish but they have the 'fast wearing' version of the Julius Marlow sole. The crystal sole is the one to get - virtually doesn't wear out
They were ~$100 when I bought them earlier this year.
link?
Just Google it. Crystal sole
So I put Crystal as a search in Telegram and can't find anything near me for $100…
@Tiggrrrrr: Oh I see it's a comedy drug reference.
This is a good deal. Previously bought for $109 from iconic.
I've had the black pair for a couple of years now and about 6-9 months ago they have developed a 'squeak' - YMMV. I've just received the hush puppies from the other deal so it will be a good comparison
Hey mate, is it a genuine stacked heel? With the wooden part?
I like the one with the wood in the heel so I know when to get the heel replaced.
It has two parts to the heel, a hard part which i assume is the wood and then the rubber below that. I don't use these shoes that often so the rubber hasn't worn down that much.
Ive only ever bought one pair of shoes that were truly terrible. Julius Marlows
Julius marlow always breaks apart after 1 year
My pair is 5 years old. Wore them everyday for nearly a year, they are fine.
Same here - had a Julius Marlow pair just like these and lasted about 2 years wearing every day
Yeah the single longest-wearing pair of dress shoes I've every owned were Julius Marlow. They lasted about 10yrs (worn 2-3 times a week and walked all over the city in lunchbreaks); I brush the shoes with a polishing brush when I take them off, polish them with Dubbin about 4 times a year, and had them resoled twice. Never wore them 2 days in a row because I think I read somewhere that they need to dry and breath.
I could technically still wear them, but they started to look a bit sad (structurally).
If you buy cheap(er) Julius Marlow shoes, than, maybe. As I always buy them via OzB deals, I tend to get their most expensive shoes at ~50% off. They are top quality and have Welted sole. Some even have real leather soles.
Saw this deal yesterday and bought the cognac ones after having worn the black/brown ones for the last 2 years or so. Been pretty happy with them, though I sometimes have issues with the heel squeaking but that's an issue I've had with other similar shoes so can't say if that's an issue specifically with these.
Which colour would go nicer with denims? This or Mocha?
Mocha ftw !
I think Mocha's a colour that goes with a greater variety of outfits, but in a pair of blue jeans the Cognac's gonna pop a lot more and really tie the whole fit together
It shows $133 for me
Price will change based on your shoe size, your size may not be on sale.
always hard ordering shoes online, like i've got different shoe sizes like US 8.5 and US 8 but i try it at where ever i've bought them because i want to know how it feels.
in saying that i'm not buying full price shoes, i might try it and then see if theres a sale online lol or either i've bought my shoes at asia shopping mall or usa factory outlet :)
this one or the hush puppies chelsea brown for the exact same price?
get both, return the ones you dont like.
damn, wish there was an easier way, do you also see the 20 dollar off prime deal or is that only for me
shopping in store I'm guessing haha - I think Myer stock them both if you wanna try em
@diggityfish: bit the bullet, 85 plus 10 dollar prime resignup offer to get 20 off goes down to 65, total spent $75
I tried them both, HP had really good feeling for the foot, but very poor grip and was afraid to get. JM had good grip but its so rugged and hurts your feet every step of the way
I got one of theirs on sale 90-100 mark, wore it once and never since. So bad and rough around edges and the sole has no comfort at all.
wait which one are you talking about HP or this?
this. HP was comfortable but poor grip (even slippery on shop floor 😬)
But there are other varients that are different ofcourse. I’m talking about this price range models.
they arrived today and they were quite comfortable so idk what you were talkin bout bruh, and look quite fashionable too
@Roe Jogan: Good to know it worked for you. Enjoy 💪
Anyone know any good shoe inserts to go with it?
Combine with this deal?
