Felix Mobile in China

Has anyone successfully been able to use Felix mobile roaming in China?

Missus and I both transfered over and took out the roaming option. However we are now in China and can't receive calls, make calls or send SMS. The data roaming works and we can receive SMS but nothing more.

Both have different phones. Have set up with roaming on, selecting China Unicom as suggested. But of us both having same issues. We have signal and R for roaming showing on the top menu bar.

Support taking days to get back in the online chat and seem next to useless with basic suggestions . I don't think the issue is on our side, given we can use data roaming.

    Yes, I'm with Felix, activated the roaming pack in China earlier this year. No issues with sms/data. Although I haven't tried sending sms as I usually use whatsapp anyway

      Which province were you in? I got the Wellcome message in Guangdong but I'm in Hunan now and getting zilch. When family try to call from Australia they get silence and it doesn't ring or anything.

        was in Shanghai, come to think of it I don't think I received any calls there

    Try shutting down your phone. It might need to disconnect from the network temporarily to get all the services working properly

    Couldn't get it working and the technical support and bot gatekeeper you need to get through every time you send a message were awful. Swapped out to amaysim and everything working right away as expected.

    Nothing changed in phone settings with amaysim.
