Can anyone confirm any fridge models that dispense cold water and not tap temperature water. Ie has some sort of tank or tube that sits in a cold space?
The caveat is it can't be any of the 900mm+ fridges
Thanks

You have to wait for the thought to sink in
It's why they also dispense ice.
Would be nice to have the option of cold and tepid. People from hot countries seem to prefer tepid water I have noticed.
Tepid water best dispensed via a benchtop filter jug which way outperforms an inline fridge filter
Yeah maybe. And then a third dispenser for hot water, would be nice to have them all built into one thing though.
@AustriaBargain: Zip Hydrotap G5, enjoy pure-tasting boiling, chilled, ambient and sparkling
@sumyungguy: omg sparkling too. Sometimes I wish I were born into a rich family so I could spend $3,000 on a tap, and then spend all day at home playing with my cool tap.
@AustriaBargain: More like $5,500. I only know about them because I know rich people who have one
Our Electrolux ERE5047 has a long coil in the top to provide cool water. The first couple of glasses are cool but chuck in some ice cubes and she'll be right.
We just got the Fisher & Pykel quad door fridge last mth, model RF605QNUVB1. Water is always cold from the dispenser. It’s 905mm but I think they have something smaller as well. Their footprint is small as compare to other fridges.
On Appliances Online you can search for fridges with a (cold) water dispenser, either plumbed or non-plumbed. You can also specify the size range you're after.
I believe the non-plumbed options have a reservoir that you will need to manually fill.
I have a plumbed LG and there is no tank per se full of cold water, but like the eletrolux above, I think some of the pipe sits near the ice dispenser so it's a little colder. But that's the point of the ice dispenser/blocks I guess.
You wouldn't want one if you ever seen inside the tank of one that is a few years old.
You can take the tank out and scrub it clean.
Our hearts were set on the samsung french doors with the internal jug but unfortunately its 912 wide and needs a further 50mm on either side for the door hinges. We previously had a non plumbed tank style fridge that we found ourselves refilling everyday… not ideal. Expanding the size of the fridge space just isn't worth it for the samsung fridge. Based on some of these responses and from our research we will probably invest in those taps that cool and just buy a fridge with only and ice maker
Is plumbing the fridge an option? Or are you limited to non-plumbed options?
There are plenty of plumbed and non-plumbed options that are less than 900mm wide.
What would be the point of a fridge that dispenses tepid water?
