Hi long time lurker and first post, please be kind.

Origin Energy allows customers to gain access to the commercial division of Good Guys and has the deluxe version (NC501) of the Creami at $287 instead of $349 RRP (-$62 off). This model has been out of stock recently and has just been restocked.

  • Had the previous model, and had to return it after the blade scraped plastic off the container.

    • That happens if you dont scrape the bump down, you also need to let it sit on the bench for 5 or 10 minutes after taking it out of the freezer.

I prefer the aldi sterling icecream maker. It has a built-in compressor so does it all in one. Unfortunately i washed the lid instead of just rinsing it out. And i find it impossible to get a replacement part. Other than that it was really good. Seems to me you need to pre freeze your ingredients in a tub and it just basically grinds it to the consistency? I'm probably wrong.

    • No, you're correct. Freeze the day before, then grind into ice-cream.

I use mine more for sorbet. Freeze various fruits and/or berries. So good!

I also quite like coconut cream. Coconut cream and pineapple is a good one.

    • My parents have the cusinart compressor ice cream maker and while it makes good ice cream it is not as good as the ninja creami. You can make as much ice cream as you like, you are just limited by how many containers you have pre frozen, the containers are like $10-15 for 4 on Ali or Temu. The only negative with the creami is the noise it makes for the couple of minutes it is operating.

Creami is great, especially if you have dietary restrictions or like to get creative
