    Nope, Chinese brand, nothing to do with Amazon but maybe confusing people as I think their main sales platform is Amazon.

        Edit: Just googled, looks like it's a sub-brand of Zepp Health.

          funny thing is older Xiaomi smart band's (and maybe watches) used the Zepp Life app. so Xiaomi made the band, Zepp did the software.
          apparently the newest line of Xiaomi band's (Miband 8 and up) and watches (Redmi watch 4 etc) only sync with the new Mi Fitness app which has been described as "worse" for fitness although I use it and I find it's just like any other smart watch app.
          so Xiaomi has decided to do the app themselves and some experienced users find it worse than Zepp's app.

          anyway, so kind of the opposite I think Zepp themselves are making bands and watches under Amazfit brand. but I found comparing specs they were often behind Xiaomi's hardware. such as only 1 model I could find having auto brightness, and max brightness was behind as well at the time I was comparing.

              my thoughts are the older Mi Fit app was probably developed by Zepp. and they wanted it renamed to Zepp Life.
              and Xiaomi's own new app is called Mi Fitness. super confusing.

              and yes even though I read a clear statement saying 8 and newer is only compatible with Mi Fitness. looks like a few models in between (6, 7) were once or still are compatible with both (Zepp Life or Mi Fitness). but I heard they are going to close that loop or have already closed it meaning it's one app or the other for those models.

  I've had my eye on their T-Rex series for a while. Just thought I'd check one of their prices. Amazon listing for the T-Rex 2 lists the battery as "Battery capacity 500 Amp Hours". Huge if true.

  And I'm still on a look out for a premium looking watch that does notifications with >2 days battery life. Doesn't need all the health tracking or GPS etc. Just want notifications from my phone and it not to be/look like a $10 Temu toy.

  Been wearing an amazfit Trex on construction sites for over 2 years and it's still going strong. Battery lasts at least a couple of weeks between charges. Surprising quality for 150 bucks or whatever it was

    I dunno a few comments here mentioning weird spec such as "500 amp hours" battery.

    it's probably a mistake and means 2GB.

  I have an Amazfit T-Rex for 4 years now. Still going strong and pretty happy with it.
  I was looking for an Apple Watch alternative, and this fit the bill at the time.

  I only use the Step-Function and call vibrate function mainly.
  The battery lasts like a month after 4 years, which is pretty good.

  I've lost the charging cable before, but you can buy replacements easily in AliExpress
  I've also replaced the catching notch on the band, but still have the original watch band.

  I think the transition to Zepp was needed, the software before was functional.

  When this watch dies, I would certainly consider Amazfit again although I will also survey what alternatives are on the market.
