    Is the U7 Pro worth getting over an AP AC Pro? I've only got a 1gbit switch that might have some 2.5gbps ports if I'm lucky.

      Went from ac-pro to u7-pro still on 1g eth. Throughput on wifi went from ~200mbps to ~400mbps. Obviously basic testing.

        That's a bit odd, your ac-pro should give you 866Mbps / ~350mbps on a good wifi 5 connection even (Quest 3 for example on my network could reach that). Good to know though!

        Make sure you open the channel width to ensure the max throughput. For the pro, if you set it to 160mhz it will easily connect at GB speed for max throughput. I have a couple of AC lites and they are set to 80 MHz and I get 800mbps

          This depends entirely on your environment.
          If you live in an apartment and you can see 35 other WiFi networks pumping all around you, then wider channels will make things worse, not better.

            @Nom: That is true, luckily I live in a house where I barely get any neighbour interference and structure my channel selections around them to avoid interference

    Becareful with Wireless1, they sell out out of stock item, so be prepared for a long wait 3-4 weeks for some items.

        I still haven't received my orders that were 'In Stock' at the time of order (27th June), and are still listed as 'In Stock at supplier' now (UDM-SE & UVC-G5-Flex). I know Leader has these both in stock in both Melbourne and Sydney, so I don't understand why these haven't been sent.
        Over three weeks now, and no communication at all on delays etc… What's going on?, are everyone's still delayed, or is it just mine?

      Installed 3 so far and they are by far the best ubiquiti cameras I've used.

    Bloody hell, UniFI has done an apple. The U6 Pro is 4x4 on 5 GHz, U7 Pro is 2x2 on 5GHz and the new U7 Pro Max is 4x4 on 5GHz. At the very least the U7 Pro supports 2.5 Gbit ethernet. If your device supports WiFi 7 then 2x2 is probably enough.

        On an N or AC laptop it would make a difference, but less so with WIFi 6 or 7. It's more the gas lighting by product names that drives me crazy.

    So a week after ordering an “in stock” item I have to follow up where my order is to be then told it is “confirmed in stock and will be shipped shortly” and then following up another week later to then be told “it was a pre order and wait”

    Yeah Nuh, no thank you

      This is what exactly happen to me, first time follow they said, your order status was ready to ship, another follow up a week later, they said still processing, waiting for stock, then this week I follow up, said item should arrived end of this week or next week….Just be honest with stock level.
