Can anyone recommend a service whereby I could get an iphone4s unlocked from Optus? I'm not really interested in jailbreaking it.
I'm looking at buying one, and from what I can gather, they'll only unlock for the original owner …. firstly, is that correct? I messaged her and mentioned that, and she tells me she can only sell it to me if I'm with optus, so I'm guessing she probably owes them money or something, so doesn't want to call them.
Obviously I'm going to check the imei etc beforehand.
call optus and get it unlocked its free :)
although must have been with them i believe 6months.
If for instance she owes them money, and they won't do it though? I was in allphones recently and the woman there was on the phone to Optus with just this issue. They were flatly refusing to unlock the phone because of what she owed.
In the end she wasn't forthcoming with the imei, so the rest is history.
