I do not know if the color is acceptable to wear outside during the day but it's a pretty good jacket to wear inside the house without being judged lol

It depends on the polyester and how it is padded. Down can clump together in spots and thin out. Polyester tends to be big clumps that you can hand massage flat because it is one piece.
