Europe Travel eSim / Simcard with 60GB valid for 45 days Minimum

Urgently need a travel eSim or Sim that is valid for a minimum of 45 days & has no less than 60GB data to use in Europe - e.g. Spain, Germany, Greece etc.

Woud love to have Best eSim or Simcard deal that meets the above requirements & also has a number attached to it so I can receive confirmation texts overseas. OR is there a way I can have my data roaming & call receivals off with my aussie number (so I can receive confirmation texts with no additional charges), but have the data roaming on for only the eSim purchased?

I'm on the Optus $49 Small Optus Choice Plus sim only plan & have a Samsung S23 Ultra.

turn off data roaming, and either have all calls diverted to voicemail, or disable both voicemail and message2txt / missed call service so that incoming calls ring out if not answered

    • What OP needs to provide urgently is who their provider is in order to answer their question urgently!

      • Optus - $49 Small Optus Choice Plus

    • Ideally would like to still receive text messages on my AU number while in Europe & only want to pay my monthly Optus Choice plan fee, nothing additional. Somehoe would need to turn off data roaming, turn off incoming calls & set my data to only be used via the eSim I purchase.

Does that sound right & possible?

      • yes, to do that you need to do this

        • Okay so data roaming is turned off on the phone itself.
Call Diversions seems to be done on the optus website when youre logged in. So I change this for ALL calls to be directed straight to voicemail.

I need to be able to receive texts only but seems like I'm going to be charged to receive texts on my AU number overseas accordingly to Optus Chat… here is what they said?

I noticed that you are currently on the $49 plus plan, which is an automatic plan.
The Roaming feature will be activated automatically once you turn on your services while overseas.
Without activating Roaming, you will be unable to receive any messages or calls.

Does this seem right? Basically I can't receive any texts unless I pay the $5 per day for International Roaming with Options for unlimited calls & texts & 5GB data..

  • Do NOT go with lycamobile as an esim provider. I had issues getting their esim to work and emailed customer service. It took them one week to reply and request more information and then a few more days to reply to that by which time I was about to depart.

  • I use Orange Holiday, you can get the Esim via the app straight away when you get into the country. https://travel.orange.com/en however you would need a couple could go with the 100GB for 28 days then do a top up of the 12gb when needed and roll over the data. I have done this in the past and had great 5G reception all over europe.

  • Optus had a $5 a day Unlimited Calls & Texts + 5GB Data option with my plan. I've decided to go with that, because after contacting them via Online Chat to complain about the price and that I am better off getting an esim etc, they offered me 10 days complementary International Roaming meaning that $50 will be credited to my account. They made a note on my account & said once I've used their $5 per day option for my holiday and come back, they will apply the $50 credit when I reach out to them to say I'm back.

Note for anything else with Optus, push them for the 10 day waived International Roaming. Thats the max they can give & will give it even if you're only using it for 10 days.

    • nice :)

  • Check out Free Mobile in France, Euro19.99 per month 250GB data in France (35GB in in other places in Europe/Dubai/Australia) unlimited calls and txt in Europe. I just spent 60 days in Europe and it was good coverage in almost every place including remote alpine regions in the European Alps.

    • Is that available to purchase online & does it include a mobile number at all?
