You could go and get some Bose QCs for $300+ or my recommendation would be for travellers to buy a pair of these now. This is the best price on Amazon (check Camelx3) and you won't find a better price on ebay or at an Australian shop.

I own a pair of these and I really recommend them.

Only $99.99 plus shipping. The amusing thing is it's cheaper to buy from Amazon in Australia and have it shipped because you don't pay tax. So Americans pay more. Doesn't happen often but here it is.

  • Have you tried the bose QC3 or QC 15s? if you have, how do they compare?

    • I've only tested the QC 15s in an airport store so it's hardly a definitive test but to my feeble ears they're the same. If you haven't used noise cancelling headphones the thing you have to understand is sound quality will take a hit but it tones down the engine drone in a plane. They're both comfortable.

The test here is Ausio Technica $99.99 vs Bose $299.99

Even people who say Bose is better wouldn't say it's 200% better.

      • thanks, I have tried the QC15 and the creative NC ones.

  • How much are these usually?

    • you can check camelcamelcamel website for amazon price history

    • $140-150 on eBay and online Australian stores north of that. Check the Camel link for Amazon prices, however this is the cheapest for a number of years.

  • Bose's QC audio quality may not be better, but their nose cancelling technology is, but not 3 times better than the Audio Technica's one. For 100 dollars the AT's NC headphone is a relative bargain.

  • Expired?

    • Yep, back to $149.99
