This is one of the more expensive Cerave cleansers designed for the face. It is a milky emulsion that turns into foam once massaged with water. It's kind of a hybrid that combines the hydrating cleanser and foaming cleanser, with the added bonus of removing sunscreen and make-up (except stubborn waterproof) in one step.

Currently $21.99 for a small 236ml bottle at Chemist warehouse, which is now made in China. This is more than double the size. The product image for the back of the bottle suggests made in US, and so far I have not read anything in skincare forums that suggest that Cerave products in US are made in China.

Update 26 July: New limited time deal, price drop from $24.15 to $23.99

Grabbed the smaller bottle during the Priceline cleanser deal earlier this year.

Both wife and I like it.

    • Yeah I got two from that sale (made in China though), hence not jumping on this deal.

Why does it matter where it is made in?

        • Probably subtle racism? If it was made in Palestine half of Melbourne would currently buy

        • +1

They usually dont question that when they use apple products. Subtle racism plus hypocrisy and pragmatism.

        • There have been reports from long time users of Cerave products saying that they not quite the same texture/feel despite little or no change to the ingredients list.

          • @moocher: Probably placebo. Ive been using cerave forever and never noticed a difference. There are differences between the pump moisturiser and the tub for instance but that has always been the case. And very into my skincare routines lel

  • How are the reviews? Good for oily type skin?

    • +2

This one is for normal to dry skin

    • +3

Foaming cleanser for oily skin (US version) also on sale

      • Thanks a lot Moocher :)

        • No longer on sale I'm afraid - expired

    Appreciate your posts, Moocher

  • I only know of this brand because of the Michael Cera commercial during Superbowl.

I definitely recommend only adding one new skincare product at a time and giving it a month to see how you respond. The Cetearyl Alcohol in this product that gave me insane acne until I figured out what was causing it.

Great cleanser, doesn't dry or burn your skin. One pump is all you need, creates a nice foam. Neutral non offensive scent. Often out of stock at Chemist Warehouse. Bought two of these bigger bottles. Thanks OP!

  • noo I just bought the Sensibio Soothing Micellar Cleansing Foaming Gel 200ml from your other post

That's a really good cleanser too

  • Pengsu?

    My most common binge ad.

  • Does anyone know the expiry date?

  • why it is showing $34 for me?

  • Deal has expired

  • Received item yesterday - confirmed made in US

  • Deal is back, 16 cents cheaper, ends in 2.5 hours - be quick!

    • how does this and the sensibo compare to cetaphil gentle cleanser? do you have a fav pick out of these 3.

      • +1

Haven't used the Cetaphil one. This CeraVe one works a bit better at getting rid of make-up, the Sensibio needs a separate first cleanser/make-up remover. Sensibio is a gel cleanser, this one is milky. Both foam, leave leave skin soft and aren't stripping, safe for sensitive skin. It's just whether you prefer a milky texture or a gel texture.
