  • Check the reviews on these, not too long ago I read some concerning feedback about the blade not being properly aligned with the foot plate, which causes jams when using a straight edge (e.g. plank of wood) for a guide. If that's still the case it means this saw is only good for rough work and not general purpose DIY/ projects.

  • RE: Green vs Blue batteries

I have used the below on my green mower for blue batteries - seems to work well.

    From AMZ
Battery Adapter for Bosch, 18V Household Lithium Battery Adapter, Electrical Power Tool Replacement, Battery Adapter Converter Convert for Bosch B to for Bosch C

  • how to see if its green or blue battery??

    • Its pretty well seperated, green is the "18v one for all" and blue are marketed as professional

  • For what it's worth…. I've been using a circular saw that looks just like this model, but corded.
And the biggest problem is that the base plate is made of wet noodle pressed metal. It flexes a LOT.

It's worst if you are not cutting very deep, so the saw is up high. And if your blade is a bit blunt doesn't help, as you have to push more. Or if you just have mildly bad technique and push down too much during a cut…. The saw pivots down towards the unsupported rear left of the base plate a lot. Causing the saw blade to irregularly pivot (especially below the surface of the cut).

So your cut on the top is a bit wavey… But the cut on the bottom of the piece looks like a drunk toddler with a crayon drew the line.

I'm still looking for a cheapish circ saw that doesn't do this.

  • Bosch Green is literal e-waste. Save your money for Ozito or Ryobi.

    • so you reckon ozito will be better, im about to buy their 18v line trimmer =( which is currently on discount.

    • Anecdotal, where ozito is actual bunnings homebrand and ryobi is just big marketing. They all function fine and have warranty under the ACL…
