Adventuridge Dry Duffle Bag (25L, 44L or 58L) $24.99 Each @ ALDI

40

I grabbed two 44L at @19.99 from local ALDI, it is 100% waterproof, better that water resistant, but you still unable to soak them in water for long time if diving is your goal.

Canoeing/kayak is great application for this kind of duffel bag.

I cannot find 58L one, they are gone, all size at same price.

  • They haven't mentioned about the weights of the bags though.

HD garbage bags are cheaper and lighter. ill pack lighter stuff like sleeping bags/mats and any other stuff without sharp edges etc

totes for stuff that doesnt matter so much but still dont want splashed and organised.

our kayak is pretty stable though, I can stand up paddle board on it and avoid surf if I dont want to get wet

For bikepacking and hiking, you can't risk it. The bags get so much abused from the sharp bush/branches.

  • Anyone know about the Aldi Adventuridge Self Inflating Mattresses or Down Sleeping Bags? Seem pretty cheap…

    • By the way, I grab the feather down sleep bag as well at 90 bucks each.

      • 480g is a bit misleading, its not gsm which is more commonly used which would put it in the vicinity of -5 to -10 comfort

im not all that familiar with feather down but if it was synthetic fill that would only give a comfort rating of approx 8-10deg C, perhaps others with more experience can chime in. I mention this as pretty much everywhere from mid north coast of NSW is under those temps at night and you will be in for a rough night unless you plan to sleep in ski gear ;-)

        • Car camping allow us to carry one extra equipment to keep warm during night time. But hiking/trekking trip need to balance weight/space vs comfortable of sleep, this sleep bag is not best one, while it allows hiking trip backpack to carry other essential items.

        • The point of down fill is it performs better than synthetic at the same weight.

          • @damnable: I assume that feather cheaper than down, but it is not only reason manufacturers fill sleep bag with certain amount of feather.

Feather could maintain the bag more fluffy due to its micro structure more rigid than down. It results the bag trapped more air in between. Warmer is definitely the ultimate goal.

      • I got one and slept sub zero in Tasmania no probs.
