2.5" SSD Recommendations for Xbox One X

Hi Crew,

I picked up a cheap Xbox one X last week with a failed SSD, I'm looking for recommendations for a replacement 2.5" SSD, pref 1tb.
I have seen mixed reviews on crucial BX, and patriot 210 looks ok by reviews. I have lots of 3.5" externals I will use for games etc

It won't be used much, just like to have it 'fixed' then wait for any possible exploits etc in the future.

Which way would you go? or any other recommendations?

also, where are all of the 2.5" SSD deals we used to see on prime days 😒

Cheers

MX500 is good, but I don't think you'll see any exploits for the Xbox One family… probably ever.

    • Thanks mate, oh re exploit lookup 'collateral damage' 😎

      • Pointless because console auto updates?

        • Nah there's a few ways to manage that, it is in its infancy though so hoping for more progress so im staying close to it

The MX500 or BX500 would both be fine; you're throttled by the SATA3 speeds so either will be a big improvement over a stock 2.5" HDD.

    • Thanks 👍

have saw bx500 suffer from issues previously when I work in a computer store.

as of now, for a decent sata ssd.

Samsung 870 evo or mx500, maybe wd blue sata if you can find one, there's no 4th choice.

    • Ok great thanks hope for prime day sales 🤞🏻🙏
