Do you require active or passive speakers?

probably not hahaha, prefer the chrapest ones but are decent.

Depends on your room size and the genre of music you'll be listening to. With a $120 budget you'll struggle to get anything I would rate as close to satisfactory. But audio is subjective so if you're happy that's all that matters.
