  • Seems to be 2500RRP 1900 on anker au website? Unless wrong version

2 version the one in Jbhifi and anker website are old models. The one amazon is selling is the upgraded version. 1850 ansi lumens compared to 2200 ansi lumens.

    • It's not an upgraded version, it's the old advertising. Anker falsely advertised 2200 when it launched but was forced to update it to 1850 lumens. See here for more details: https://www.projectorcentral.com/Epson-Anker-settle-lumens-l…

      • The model number/part number of nebula in amazon is
        D23501F1
Compared to Jbhifi and anker site that is
        D2350TF1
Both looks the same but theyre different. Cheers DYOR

        • Are you saying anker only sells the old version on they're website and not the new one that Amazon it's selling?
          Seems a bit odd.

  • does 15% cashback apply on this at shopback?

  • Is this a relatively good offer?

  • Anyone got this already? review will be highly appreciated.

Yeh just got it today, played it outside after lunch, cloudy in Melbourne and see easily bright at 150 inch, about half as bright as inside but easily watchable just thrown up on my shed wall. Crystal clear inside with curtains open, looks almost as good clarity as my LG OLED C1 and no lag or sound issues experienced. Convenient to be able to move it around where I want it

      • Thanks, that sounds very good.. how much distance was needed to get 150inch projection? Also, what projection size you get at around 12 feet distance? How is brightness and picture quality inside at night time ( i have TCL 75" TV which is very bright)? What abt fan noise? Cheers

Not a mathematician, my maths was a bit out, not used to having such a big screen. It was more like 112 inches on my blockout blinds and the unit was 3.8m away, I think that's close to your 12 feet? Don't actually have a suitable 150 inch projection space to test properly. Not a videographer but blown away with the clarity and brightness. Maybe when it pans a large expanse like mountains and hills outside very rarely there are a couple of pan jerks compared to the C1 but almost all the time smooth as a pandas bum. I'm running it in a room right now with curtains drawn and my C1 playing the same 4k imax scaled movie and scenes. Not an ophthalmologist as it seems almost as bright and clear, hard to see any diffences. I rarely notice darks are mildly darker from the nebula like Samuel L Jacksons face (no racism intended) but almost identical when on standard picture settings. There is very mild light creep outside of the frame but it's pretty uniform on all sides, probably expected from a projector? not sure what the technical term for that is. The picture frames on the wall, written text, grass and leaves blowing, cgi and nad knockouts Ms Marvel is delivering are so similar I can barely tell the difference. Not an audiologist but if I put my ear 10cm to the side or back of the machine in silence it is a decent rumble. If I'm 20cm in front of the unit I get a very mild ear bashing from low fan noise when an ear is turned toward and focusing on it but the mind tunes it out when movie is playing and head facing front or if there is any other noise around and most people probably have louder traffic noise if they live in the city with all windows closed. If I'm two metres in front of it I can barely hear it.

          • @exulted: Thank you again for your detailed reply, really appreciate it. Another question - does picture quality drops if you place projector near the corner of the room instead of at the front? Also, can it be fixed on wall or ceiling and is it possile to tilt it down? cheers

@Trek: No worries. It spits the dummy when more than about 30 degree angle. Can't really see any loss of brightness on the further side. It does make the halo outside the play space a bit skewed in shape and bigger on the further side but it's not very noticable to me when my eyes are drawn to the screen and could be due to not having a dedicated throw space and complete darkness.
Has area on bottom where screws into stand/roof holder, don't quote me on this as I bought the anker stand; but I think that is a universal attachment screw holder? The unit screen rotates 180 when turned upside down to go on roof. The screw atrachment itself doesn't rotate so what screws into it or props it up will need to do that. Maybe the other projector you mention will be better, but happy with this as first projector and for $1.5k

      • Finally pulled the trigger yesterday for $1.5k, this will be our first projector, very excited :)

        • Did yours get shipped out? After waiting on this for for days I bought it on Saturday.

          • @lostinsydney: I purchased it on Sunday night, it got shipped on Mon and I received it today.. Hope you get yours soon..

Reviews casually mention that its contrast isn't the best, and from a cursory google, 652:1 measured is unacceptable for the price, especially for a laser projector.

But I suppose laser is just the light source here, not a scanning laser, and so despite that we don't have the benefit of being focus free, its supposed to have good, responsive auto focus.

That said, its light source appears to be just flooding its throw rectangle and also borders the graphic whether keystone adjusted or not, making its contrast a joke to me.

Disappointing contrast much like the ViewSonic M2e Mini Slim Full HD LED Smart Portable Projector I bought, which I just have to bad mouth for its claimed 3,000,000:1 bs!

Thanks, appreciate it.. I'll wait on deal for triple laser 'JmGO N1S Ultra 4K Projector' which I think is much better than this Nebula..
