      That's correct it applies to direct .au only. But considering there are directly accredited registrar, they have benefits that a wholesaler/reseller won't and unfortunately auDA doesn't seem to want to allow newcomers.

      Micron21 is selling direct .au domain names at the previous wholesale rate from the registry. Before the last volume adjustment bought the wholesale price down to $8.56 Kind of a little bit of self-promotion, but the OzBargain Comparison .au wiki is here But the cheapest price is not always the best price.

    Just heads up - had good experience with Micron21 in past, using their 6mth free with domain deal right now, and it just aint good.

    Their setup is just bizarre (multiple areas to login, NO user account area [wait, what?], some error stopping me from logging in to the ticket area [which isn't yr account area, coz there isn't one, did I mention that?] - opened a ticket to fix it, still aint fixed, gave up and have been replying 42 times to 1 ticket so far [literally: 42 emails after migrating cpanel to them, to get it working right]), they filter yr email by default with some 'cisco enterprise' spam filtering wizzgig which is truly a pain in the ass and has so far filtered out 100% legitimate mail ~6 of those emails are getting them to disable it, and again.
    U can call them at at whatever hrs (which has been the only way to get things work), but just had someone 100% unhelpful tell me I have no support the other night, for the first time after many calls.

    I have no qualms paying, yet it's clear their cheaper plans would literally be serviced exactly the same. Would imagine support would be good for much higher priced, but no evidence the borked basics would work any better.

    I'm leaving them asap.

    Yes and no. Our system generally has some issues with it, but if you place an order then open a ticket with full legal name, we can sort it out for you.

    I believe you need some form of Australian Identity verification.

              @nessism: Hi,

              Unfortunately this is not a service we provide (Logging into clients old host) but you can try download the acronis backup and upload to your file manager via Obble. If it's a cPanel backup file then we can import it, otherwise the client will usually import/extract the file if any other backup form.
