    Home key?

None of these big companies seem to care about it. Then they wonder why there are no sales. So far Aqara is the best. Check out Aqara U200 if you are in the market.

      • Thanks for the feedback. Aqara does seem like the go. They have a bunch of options that look good. Will look into how long the battery lasts for. I don’t want to be changing door batteries every month!

          I have Aqara A100

Last time I changed batteries was over 6 months ago (Can't even remember when). I use Eneloops Pro. Put the recharged ones in and remove the other ones. Just checked status and still have 32% left.

          • @Pricebeat: I know your opinion will be biased… :)

My plan was to get Yale Assured SL with ZigBee module.

Now I am not sure if I need Home Key support.

Is Home Key support was the main factor?

            • @SickDmith: My decision wasn’t based on just Homekey support, but also everything else that comes with Homekit support. I can unlock it pretty easily from control centre and/or from my Mac whenever I need to. Also status checking of everything from just one app (Homekit).

Moreover it sends notifications on my Apple TV as well, so if I am watching something loud, I am still aware that the door has opened/closed.

I also bought cheap nfc tags from Aliexpress to give access to some family members, those who did not want to deal with finger print or keypad. The access to those can be removed pretty easily from app as well.

It’s a breeze to walk in to house with my hands full of groceries and unlock the door using my watch.

          • @Pricebeat: Good feedback. As a family with a lot of stuff in Apple home it makes sense to go home key.
