This is a great deal. Pioneer systems also give access to a rekordbox software subscription for free too which is a big bonus.

  • Anyone else had experience with these?

    • Watched reviews since yesterday.

Apart from it being already noted by OP as one of the standout units for beginners, the regularly occuring gripes people have with it is lack of dot indicators on the knobs in the middle making it harder to match the levels at times, especially when in darker environments and a "easier-to-accidental-bump" usb-c port. I think it's supposed to be a design feature though so instead of having your gear fling across the room (potentially damaging both the buttons/knobs/sliders and the square usb port itself), it'll just disconnect itself and cut the set short and not damage your gear.

Great price - I thought I'd done well getting it for $449 on the previous deal I posted!

I'm still learning with mine so certainly not an expert but I'm really happy with it. Per OP, every professional reviewer I saw rated it really highly for the price.

As above, unlocks Rekordbox 7 at no additional cost, or alternatively works with Serato (Lite version for free, Pro version at additional cost) - consensus seems to be Rekordbox if you've never used either and don't need the Stems feature (it's version sounds much worse than the Serato one), otherwise they're very similar in functionality.

    • Hey mate.

Just wondering what you meant by the Stems feature sounding worse on the Pioneer version?

I watched a video/review the other day showing it working flawlessly at seperating a track. I'm a beginner though so I'm not sure if I was missing something.

      • Disclaimer: I’ve only used Stems in Serato myself but reviewers and general feedback on Reddit, etc all seem to say the Rekordbox version sounds significantly worse.

The recently released Rekordbox 7 apparently has the same stems quality as v6, despite them improving pretty much everything else, so the hope is stems will get some attention in a future update

Ohhh, interesting. Also to note myself, most of the videos I've seen have praised the Rekordbox software and not really given great feedback on Serato. But that's also probably because it's an extra charge if you buy this unit, as you noted, Rekordbox being included is good though.

Used AfterPay to get a $400 Amazon Gift Card.

Then clicked to use Zip for the remaining $5 and it triggers the $10 Zip coupon and brings the total to $395. No Zip money taken and saved $5 for future use! 😅

    Great post OP!
