    yeah idk if they fixed it probably not but apparently soon after it was released if you started a photo album to play, after going through it once when you look at it again it will be back on the home screen where ads are visible.

  FYI, they just got rid of the list API access, which was the number 1 use in our household (Anylist integration).
  Now I am looking to get all my echos replaced.

    In same boat. Very clumsy now “Alexa ask AnyList to add bread to the shopping list” and wife hates it. What are you looking to move to?

      I want to move eventually to Home Assistant Assist, however, they have no commercially available products (speakers, displays) yet.
      So I am kind of stuck with Alexa for the time being.

  Have one in the kitchen. Couldn't live without it.

  One side displays family photos, in the afternoon it displays dinner recipes and inspiration.

  On the other half it shows our calendar and to do list.

  Occasionally will put on a kids show to entertain the little ones while wife cooks etc.

  It's always playing music otherwise, setting timers when cooking or alarms for things.

  Anyone can add items to the shopping list. Super useful once you have it setup.
