I've had a bad experience with Amazon Germany recently. Bought a pair of headphones which also said 10-14 business days but after checking out it was immediately suss since the status went to "we'll email you when we have an update." The item sat there for 10 days with no change, despite it being in stock for order the entire time. I ended up calling Amazon who offered me to cancel the order and place it again but pay the $50 priority shipping charge, which they will then refund me back as a giftcard once the item arrives. Not ideal having to essentially purchase an extra $50 giftcard but I had other stuff I needed anyway so I went for it since the original price on the headphones was far cheaper than anything locally.

I made sure to get an email which states they would be refunding me the shipping charge and to their credit the refund was processed immediately when I called back after receiving the item.

Does anyone have experience with using this to get a close shave for beard and/or head?

    • I have roscea (skin irritation etc). Its the best razor I have found for shaving. I dont have a beard though and dont use it on my hair.

    • +1

It's not razor blade close, but it's not far off. In fact if you get any irritation from using razors regularly this is likely to be a good option for you. I'm pretty impressed with it to be honest as a beard shaver.

For the head I would recommend a dedicated shaver.

I use one with a 3.5mm setting. Adjustable guide clogs up after one pass. It still works but I feel as though it's more effective if I take the guide off, knock stubble out, put the guide back on, and do another pass.

Using a safety razor for a close shave.

FYI the travel case is crap. Material flaking off after 6 months.

    • Head shave is crap with this

Face I use this to trim everything down to a fine size and then use my 7 year old Phillips 9000 to finish the job. It's smoother than using blades for my hair type. Very fine.

It does a good job for other parts.

  • Does this have a proprietary plug that will need to adapt to AU?

    • +3

      From the Shaver Shop link

This model includes a USB charging cable, but does not include a wall plug for this cord. The included USB charging cord is compatible with most USB wall plugs, such as those used to charge mobile phones or tablets.

    • Bought this exact listing a few weeks ago. It came with an EU plug, so you will need to source the usb charging cable, Au plug or adapter separately.

      • Huh? Are you sure it has a USB port?

        • It doesn't have a usb port, but you can get a usb charging cable that terminates in the connector this shaver uses.

  • Whats the difference between this and the 360 version?

    • +1

      This is the 360 version.

    • +1

According to the model number listed in the title of the advert and the pictures this IS the 360.

    • +3

Fyi the 360 version allows you to tilt/rotate the blade to reach those places the sun don't shine 🕳
But you can also buy those blades separately

What are the pros/cons of this vs the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000?

    • As somebody who owns the Norelco Multigroom 7000, I would probably buy this instead if you are just using it to shave your face. The multigroom has way too many unnecessary attachments. To be honest, I am mostly waiting for a good deal on a safety razor because I think it will do a better job.

      • Thanks - that's helpful. I have an older Philips Norelco beard trimmer that has finally died after 10 years, so I'm tossing up whether to go for the OneBlade or the Multigroom.

  • Would it be cheaper tomorrow? (Prime Day)

    • +1

      We will know tomorrow

  • Is this any different to the basic model? they both use the same head so i can't see this doing much more.

    • Different battery tech I think

  • @yessum - you might want to update the original post. The link for Shaver Shop is the 360 variant, while the Amazon one is without 360.

    • +1

This is the 360 one I believe?

      • actually yes, I just went with the title in the Amazon page and got confused with the fact that there was a non-360 version as well.

  • +1

    Buyer beware!
Latest review says 2 month wait for delivery from Germany to Aus

    • My delivery date is pending. This is the first time I've seen this message.

    • Worth noting that that review doesn't state it's a verified purchase.

  • +2

Phillips should have made this "reversible". One half of the blade is wasted :(

    • true, i was thinking with the 360 maybe it can make the less used side accessible? i've never used it if someone else knows

  • +1

I've been using a Gillette Mach 3 for many years, how does this thing compare? I probably only shave 1-2 times a week.

  • This come with European charging plug?

    • Yes. I bought it a couple of weeks ago and it came with the EU charger.
