  • Does this cook rice 4x better than the instant pot?

    • +1

Compared to Zojirushi, I would say yes. We used an instant pot to cook rice before we got our Zojirushi and the rice would be unevenly cooked, some will be burnt on the bottom, 'wet' in some parts and okay in the middle but super dry on top. Our Zojirushi consistently cooks rice amazingly well.
No experience with Cuckoo, I've heard it cooks just as well, but just not as reliable as Tiger and Zojirushi.

Yes definitely better. instant pot is bad in rice cooking tbh. any average rice cooker will beat instant pot in rice cooking.

I have instant pot and this particular rice cooker as well.

  • 안녕하세요. 설명드릴께요. I own this model and this is for Korean and Japanese family who eats rice as everyday meal and it's main feature/purpose is as a rice warmer. So that you don't have to cook everytime before the meal. You will enjoy warm rice bowl anytime. You are thinking that it is very expensive in first glance, but you have to think in terms of quality and longevity. The last model we had lasted about 10years, and we recently upgraded to this model and I expect this model to last 10+years in our family. It works out to be $45 per year, which is not expensive at all. And it does cook better than the regular $50 rice cooker.
