No specific deals, just a sale announcement, same reason it's been deleted once already.

  • Ugh. That's twice today. I'm sorry mods.

    • Careful. Strike three and.. YERRRR OUT, WICKZKI!! ;P

Also origin has proven before that deals in the US mean nothing good for their AU price.

    • True but if you talk to them on live chat they will refund you the difference. Last time I bought BF3 for $10 when it was $20 on the AU storefront.

pity it will get removed soon. Pretty sure some "real ozbargainer" already reported this thread but I feel that this is actually useful without knowing what items will be on sale. A quick update in 2 hours will make this post amazing IF they give us aussies some great deal

      and pigs will fly

      • i will keep dreaming! keep dreaming keep keep dreaming now. oh keep dreaming

  • The US 'deals' look quite underwhelming, as far as I can see. Probably cheaper to buy from Amazon.

  • I've tried to comment on the unpublished deal this morning, and will keep this post up as the sale starts in just 2 hours.

First of all this is an Australian sale. If you go to http://store.origin.com/ you'll get redirected to its Australian store showing Australian price (assume that you are coming from an Aussie IP address).

Secondly I've actually got a list of games that are on sale — 6 titles, 13 products. Not too sure whether it's the entire list, but it does contain some recent popular games from EA. Half price so pretty decent discount. Not too sure whether I've said too much as I've got this from their marketing campaign that has an embargo until 7PM today. Sorry I can't say much about those titles here. Whether you'll be able to get the same title cheaper elsewhere? Maybe, maybe not. I don't play enough games to know the differences :P

Anyway we'll keep this thread open. Other members can paste in the titles that are on discount after it hits 7PM.

Lol why even mention that part then, you big ol' tease! =)

50% off ripoff price = what the full price should have been.

I find that everytime EA has a 50% off RRP, its still more expensive than the cd key i bought off a key site

    • 4 hours mate, not 2. Wait…does that mean it starts at 7pm local time across the different time zones, or is the Origin countdown confused because I'm in WA?

EDIT: even if they did have BF3 for $12.40, Amazon US had it for $7.50 a little while back.

      • 7PM AEST is Brisbane time, not AEDST (Daylight savings).

  • It's up. It's a waste of time.

  • Is this sale a joke? Where are the discounted prices??? All I'm seeing on the sale page is their usual stuff.

EDIT: 50% off a bad price is still a bad price. Try harder next time.

    • +1 to that!

  • live, and nothing great that i can see

  • As expected: massive yawn

    Megasale is a mega-fail.

  • Oh god what the eff are those items and price. It's even more expensive than physical retail price.'

  • Meh. Move on, nothing to see here!

  • I presume the discounted items are supposed to appear on this page but as it stands, it seems like their servers are getting hammered!

It is "click frenzy" EA style! :P

    • The prices are slightly better on the USA site, though I pity the Australians who are getting ripped off as they buy this.

EA getting back to their origins with yet another farcical list of ''specials''

  • +1

What a joke, why do EA continually make themselves look like a laughing stock when compared to Steam? They really don't seem to care.

  • Not a single good deal. Not a single decent bloody price.
