iPad Recommedation Budget Of $350

Hi Everyone,

Just looking for recommendations on which iPad to buy, which will mainly be used for watching youtube and so on. Budget would be around $350, I am a bit reluctant to buy from Facebook Marketplace just due to not being able to check battery life on them unless the newer versions.

From the research I've done the best bets would be to for:

Ipad Pro 10.5 Inch (A10X Fusion Chip) $330 With 6 Months Warranty (From a phone shop)

iPad 8th Gen (A12 Chip) $350 (Renewed from Amazon) - Would it be worth waiting for prime day deals on these iPads?

Just wanted to know whether it would be worth going for the 8th generation over the Ipad Pro 10.5 inch and would appreciate any other recommendations/alternatives within that price range.

Thanks

  • I have the “Ipad Pro 10.5 Inch (A10X Fusion Chip)”
Which i use as a mini computer for myself as well as for my tv when living away from home.

Great ipad for its age and battery is enough for moderate to high use video viewing.
Just used it for 7 hours of flying recently.

Only downside is, i don’t think you can check battery health.

    • Appreciate it thank you.

  • I'd recommend a variant that will run iPadOS 18, so iPad 8th is probs your best option at $350

    • Sure thing, thank you!

iPad 9th Gen is $419 at BigW

Officeworks can beat it by 5%. Which becomes 398. Go to coles and buy $400 worth of ultimate cards that works at office works. For $360

You get a brand new iPad instead of 2nd hand.

      this^

best option to get something new. only deal breaker is the storage is kinda small, but if it's a browsing machine then doesn't matter too much.

    • Appreciate this very much. Will do this, thank you!

    • Great suggestion. Just bought ultimate giftcards with my HSBC paypass, another $7.2 saving in cashback, will head off to OW soon.
