Wireless/Bluetooth over-Ear Headphones < $100

Need your suggestions please as I'm overwhelmed with choices and not sure what would be good - cannot try before I buy either.

Requirements:

  1. Wireless/BT
  2. Comfortable to wear - previous one caused a lot of pain to my ear
  3. Over ear
  4. Great for Teams calls i.e. others can clearly hear me and not hear any background noise
  5. Noise cancelling
  6. Loud volume - last one wasnt loud enough for some reason
  7. Under $100

No ear buds or any such options please.

Maybe provide some info as to why the previous ones were painful. Do you have big ears or a big head or both?

    • Not really size of ears, but it hurt the mid part of the ear that protrudes outward a bit.

Life Q30 $89 delivered (all time low)

Haven't tried them myself but I own the slightly more expensive Space Q45 which are great (rarely use anymore though as I prefer to just use my ANC earbuds).

    • Soundcore is a solid choice

      • it is solid in the budget range especially for ANC performance per $.

but Q30 model in particular had a headband plastic cracking issue. can be "held together" with cable ties without drop in function but just worth being aware of.

Soundcore Q35 did not have this issue.

    • Thanks for the suggestion.

alternative to Soundcore Q30 is Sonoflow SE currently $66.40 with coupon applied before adding to cart.

I think a ozb user mentioned they are very satisfied with overall performance, sound quality, ANC, mic. also helps to google search for genuine feedback on certain features from google reviews/ reddit etc.
just be aware the SE is the budget model with no wired connection possible and no LDAC.
(but ANC doesn't work with wired connection on the higher up Sonoflow anyway)

    • Thanks will check it out.

if mic quality is very important maybe you should also consider extra $30 spend for the normal sonoflow. afaik the difference is just lack of wired and LDAC but I could be wrong and mic could be better.

Blue and grey are $2 cheaper than black atm.

if you look up any common YouTube review it should include a mic sound sample.

here is one I found for the Sonoflow (more expensive non SE). https://youtu.be/kD_vgq9Mwmw

the thing is most should do ok with mic performance in a quiet environment. it’s when you have background noise (e.g. outdoors) were mics struggle to isolate your voice. even Sony models struggle with this, find a indoor/outdoor ANC mic test and you will get what I mean.

  • Picun F8 Pro ANC (cherry colour) was around $60 last night on Ali.

Look at the specs on those then try to find something on Ali.
