I'm not sure if this has been posted before… but I have a ~$250 CTP insurance policy with Woolworths Everday Car Insurance… I get over $250 worth off my grocery bill each year, so I'm making $$ and getting free car insurance. Feels peak Ozbargain, so I figured I'd share.

This offer is limited to one in-store Woolworths Supermarket transaction up to $500, with a maximum saving of $50 per Everyday Rewards card, per month, regardless of the number of Woolworths services you use.

Just here to say AOE is a classic game series

    Woolworths does CTP?

    • +2

Apparently it was only in NSW but they stopped selling any new CTP policies in 2022

      CTP Green Slip Update
From 1 October 2022, Woolworths will no longer be selling CTP Green Slips.
If you are a current CTP Green Slip customer, QBE and Woolworths are still here for you. We have created this guide to make claiming a little easier.

Bugger. This would have made a good deal of still the case

        • Oh really? So my cheap CTP was grandfather’d into this deal?

Also use promo code CAR24K to get 24000 pts ($120 over 12 months) in addition to the 10% off instore shop deal for car Insurance

  • Been getting these discounts with car insurance for the past year. Haven't made any claims so can't comment on the insurance service, but I can say that my Rewards card has "unlinked" from my insurance product at least 3 times over the last 11 months. Pretty annoying at the self-checkout when I have to log in and re-link my card. Other than that, pretty good.

  • I'm already an Everyday Rewards member. Do I have to buy using another email address to get 1 more 10% off an in-store?

    • +1

You can! I have two on my account… one Everyday rewards, one from my insurance.

      • Yesterday I bought a car insurance from Woolies. My rewards card is connected. Where can I check the 10% off in the app? It's not showing yet.

        • I feel like it took a few days to activate for me?

          • @terryco: I was told to wait at least 45 days for it to be activated.

I have prepaid mobile and everyday rewards on one account. You get 2x 10% off each month on the same account.

    • I think there's a few wrong terms being used in this comment and the replies.

Everyday rewards is a free rewards program where you earn points, and every 2,000 points earned can be used for $10 off.
Everyday extra is the paid tier, which earns bonus points and gives 10% off at Woollies and Big W once a month.

Everyday insurance gives an additional 10% off once per month.
*each type of insurance gives a 10% off, but only one (1) can be used per Everyday rewards account. [So each Everyday rewards account can have a maximum of 2x 10% off deals per month (at Woollies, 1x at Big W)].

Everyday mobile also gives 10% off, but falls under the insurance clause - so you can't stack mobile and insurance.

You will need multiple (free) rewards accounts to utilise more than one insurance and/or mobile product's 10% monthly discount.

  • $300/year more expensive than RACV, if I double my excess and reduce my agreed value by $3,000

    Hard pass

  • If you already have everyday mobile, don't bother, you won't get an additional 10% off…

  • If I already have everyday rewards extra 10% off, do I get an additional 10% off at Woolworths with this each month?

    • +1

      Yes
