I don't remember them ever being free for new signups (went from $1 to $1.50), only the birthday freebie that can be redeemed for large fries.

Why reuse the same email address (presume any accrued / unused points get deleted anyhow) rather than simply creating a new account with a new email address (that way you get access to even more weekly deals and can cherry-pick the best ones)?

If they were at all concerned and serious about restricting multiple accounts, then they would put more restrictive practices in place (for example, ensuring unique device &/or mobile number) rather than simply enforcing unique email address.
At the end of the day, they still make an additional sale (and profit) even if a somewhat dubious discount is applied.

Anyway seems the 2 x small Big Mac meals for $10 is no more… as Maccas now appears to be cycling through different sign up promo offers every few days (hopefully on rotation and the Big Mac deal comes back)!
Current promo is McChicken & large soft drink (no Fries) for $3.
Still the McChicken and drink deal even today… thought they might change on the same days as their regular targeted deals (Friday/Tuesday) but nope. Been wanting the 30% off deal but can't get it.
They've even seemed to have stopped sending out the regular promo email on Fridays listing the special deal for the upcoming weekend… meaning past couple of weeks you actually have to logon to find out the deal.
Hopefully just a temporary change and they revert back to the normal emails soon… as a real pain having to logon and check each and every individual account looking for the deal you're after (rather than just quickly eyeballing the email).
